At least you weren’t snowed off like the super bikes at Assen! Best of luck Billy, surely you’ve used all the bad luck with the motor breaking.
WOW!! You have certainly tested your patience, perseverance and temperament to the extreme. And, by the sounds of things, you've managed to come through the tests with amazing equanimity! I think by now I'd have had some very uncomfortably tight and twisted underwear and there'd be spanners and bits of bent engine flying around the pit tent in a flurry of foul expletives!! Huge kudos to you for sticking with it and making the very best of the weekend (so far) and even seeing the positive! I do hope that your fortune cookie crumbles in a much more acceptable manner from here on in! Keep it safe and keep it going, BB! Best of luck for today.
Yep, very sensible approach, take what you can and get the signatures. Pity about the bloody clutch, no doubt you could have finished higher up if it hadn't let you down.
Now you’ve ridden it mate, see if you had the same feedback I had. Turn2 always go in too fast and run wide. Infield sections all good fun. End of back straight I always thought I’m going too slow at the turn in. Last right before the last left. Come to the left way too quickly.
Mate, that was my bogey track. I hope you have more success there in the future. Racing is sometimes the most infuriating costly experience anyone can have, but when the tables turn and it goes right. By far and away the greatest feeling there is.
Bad weekend for you Billy. Some peeps think club racing is cheap, it can be expensive even when everything is going well. Add a few set backs and the costs escalate dramatically. Where’s the next race meeting, Donny Park ?
It is such a shame that this has happened on only your second outing. As you say it is hard on the wife. I guess you have to put it all behind you and now focus on the next race weekend. We are all routing for you mate....
You’ll spend the next week sorting the bike out, you’ll make it better again and by the next round you’ll have forgotten about the bruses
Difficult times indeed. So many things to think about and so many thoughts to ponder. I'm sure we all wish you well for these the toughest of times; comfort for the sorrow, and support for the pain. Be strong Billy, and stay well.
Gonna try to get to Donington Billy, don’t know if it’ll be Saturday or Sunday. Can you ride right into the paddock area and park beside your camper or what, hows it work.?
Unless its altered this year then no. There’s a manned security box with barriers, adjacent to a pay kiosk which is at the entrance to the paddock access road Now if you have a paddock vehicle pass that’s different.
You bloody asked for it now Glyn .. have that! Elbow, knee and hip.
