BB - again, a wonderfully incisive analysis of self and situation. << after meeting up with DD at the weekend, he tells me that I have you to thank for pushing for the Crowd Funding page to be set up >> DD has, I think, somewhat overstated any "role" I had to play in the funding. I was surprised that the initial idea hadn't immediatley taken off so I simply made it clear to DD that my commitment to providng a practical and simple contribution wasn't just a hollow promise. I just made it obvious and made it real - a bit like you're doing with the racing analysis. DD (f*ck, what is it with all these alliterative initials? Sounds like some perverse, secret society, ritualistic naming convention! ) where was I? Oh, yeah, DD was the one that did all the work and got the thing off the ground, if I remember correctly, so the credit (no pun intended!) is largely down to him and, of course, all the others who have contributed. Being an old - and old fashioned - biker I guess you could say I gave the little bit of push needed to kickstart the thing! Electric, pushbutton starting has just made everyone TOO lazy! Next season (AHEM!) though, we'll pay through paypal friends and family .... BTW, is the guy on the bike #23 with the full fairing racing in the same class or was it a practice session? Please do keep all of the reports, analysis (self and otherwise) and pictures coming - it's all worth reading, seeing, enjoying and, vicariously at least, 'participating' in your expolits and adventures. Be safe.
Grea Great report Billy, based on this being your first year racing it looks to me like you are doing absolutely fine.. as with all things experience only come with time and the making of a few mistakes. Well done and good luck for the next round....
Sounds good stinger, be great to meet another forum member but better warn Bill so he can bring another packet
When you didn’t come round Billy and we heard over the PA system that yellow flags were out at the back of the circuit Jez and Andy said “f*ck let’s get round to the BBR Hospitality quick to make sure the Hobnobs are still available”
Ex Manager, he embezzled the team so I sacked his ass! I have me an idea , maybe instead of playing AC/DC Thunderstuck in my head on the start line (gets me a little to fired up, as crash in first lap last time indicates), I should have 'they're coming to take me away', maybe the thought of the psychiatric nurse coming after me will encourage better results?
The good thing bud, you’re not going out thinking I’m fast I’ll easily win. As you well know racing is seriously difficult, set up relatively easy, riding relatively easy, learning a track relatively easy, Logistics relatively easy, put them all together Meaga difficult. First season school day every day, second season some hopeful rewards for the previous years school. And always enjoy
Keep it going @Bad Billy, we are all behind you and enjoying the race reporting and your updates on your progress. Wessa
I that’s just took me back in time to Noel Edmonds on a Saturday night, Ron you won’t know but google it
