Considering all the adverse problems that you encountered over the weekend, vehicle breakdown on the way to the circuit, the ever changing track conditions with the weather and oil spillage delaying your race I think you did pretty darn well. At the start of the campaign your goals were to finish races and to get signatures on your licence,,,mission accomplished It will get better
I’d have been happy with that as my first racing weekend Billy, all things considered. As has been said, things will get better and hopefully the weather won’t need to be such a consideration for later events. Points in the bag, race signatures, no damage. Top stuff.
I take my hat off to you mate . With all the little problems you had you still gave it everything and got valuable experience and a few points too. I'm sure things are gonna get a lot better as the season progresses, well done.
How’s the day at work gone Billy,,,was your head clear,,,I bet it wasn’t. How many times did you rerun the weekends events.
Let me tell you Billy was properly chilled at the track, I think I was more nervous riding in the damp on the road than he was.
I've done track days and marshalled everything from clubbie races to WSB and seen riders progress up (and down). A lot of people's perceptions of their own speed and skills get ruined when they move up a level But the main point is no. 12....
Bloody brilliant Billy, thoroughly enjoyed that mate I watched it on my iPad and I’d go hold of the thing as tight as I could for the second half of the race when you were following the other rider for a few laps and I’m shouting get him Billy up the inside, round the outside, get him . Didn’t realise I was doing it until wifey told me I know mate it’s easy sitting here as opposed to on track mate
Well done Billy and thanks for putting the video up, did the guy in front of you get penalised for a jump start? I remember watching racing years ago and any time it was raining they all seemed to tiptoe around the circuit, totally different nowadays though
Well Billy if you are not fast, where does that leave the rest of us? Mind as I get older I don't have the same inclination to want to go fast, well at least not on the roads. Last time I was on a track was 2006/7 at the Nurburgring and that was a real blast.....
That is a real shame, it is a great experience with vans, buses and everything in between on the track. One time I was there a bus load of tourist went around. I have been a few times and at least a couple of times the track has been closed for either oil/petrol spills or serious accidents. I will be watching your progress this season and willing you on for race days. Stay lucky mate..
1- perfect attitude Billy, you’ll go far with that. all you need. 1. Bit more power 2. Little bit more weight loss ‘at least three sausage baps for breakfast’ 3. 10 is because of above 4. 8 is also 2 and 3 5. 7 shouldn’t have happened at all being a proper Moto x racer 6. We’ve already got rid of half the issues you’ll win at Snetterton now
Well Bill, I've just finally got around to watching the footage of your second race, very impressive mate, give you an extra 10.3 bhp and a dry track who knows how you'll go As regards to no, 8 above, as a show of solidarity from your supporters would it help to shelve the whole Hob Nob thing in the hospitality suite, to keep you away from temptation, , only kidding, get Mrs Billy to lock em up, lol.
I CAN REPORT HOB KNOBS WERE NOT AVAILABLE, OFFERED BUT NOT AVAILABLE!!!!! I’m not actually sure they existed after watching how fast the baps disappeared. If the lap times matched the bap times, Billy would be destroying Superbikes, if not Moto GP
Your joking, well I suppose ever cloud has a silver lining as they say,,,,,,,more for the rest of us That’s if Billy boys not eaten them
