Man after my own heart: early U2  War, Joshua Tree etc.
Not so keen on later stuff but somehow Linkin Park filled the gap :p
It's a shame how it ended but the lyrics in his songs said it all; the writing was on the wall!

"Straight hop flavored" whiskey? From California? Hmmm. Very unusual. Could we get a review please? Thanks!

Very good, it is about $110.00 a bottle so bit pricey. It is very smooth, warm going down and a smokey oak after taste.

    What the reviewers say -
Amador Straight Hop-Flavored Whiskey Ten Barrels Limited Release Small Batch
Thirty years in the making, the experience and renowned 12th generation master distiller Marko Karakasevic continues to turn out the most unique and interesting whiskey's the world will ever touch upon their lips. The 96 Proof Amador Ten Barrels Whiskey lays proof to such.

Available in twenty six states across the United States, the straight malt whiskey and hop-flavored whiskey are distilled in Matured in French oak wine barrels for two years before they come together for a harmonious and engaging meeting for one year in the chardonnay barrels. After this combined three year pperiod, they are offically married and bottled.

With such a perfected union, the Amador Ten Barrels Whiskey derived its name from the fact that only Ten Barrels will ever be made. A limited showing of perfection meant to last a lifetime is all it takes to showcase the class and sophistication of First Class and Coach. Amador Ten Barrels Whiskey shows the difference with its rich caramel and vanilla aroma; toffee, butterscotch, warm caramel and nougat dominating palate notes that lead it to an ever-lasting finish.

Thanks, Timothy. Yeah, that is pricey but if they really are only going to make ten barrels, that's not so bad. I wonder if the price will go up as the supply diminishes. And with your and the reviews descriptions, it seems like the supply may well diminish! I'll have to see if it's available in Arizona. Thanks again for sharing you opinion as well as the review. :)

Snaffling at another bottle of Jim Beam honey... for such a cheap beverage, remarkably little fuss, sweet, warming and easy to sup... I’m not turning into a poofter am I???

The best personal review of something is whether or not you like it, DCS! Sounds delicious to me--poofter or not. ;)

Talisker is a beautiful, wild spot and a triumph (Boom! Boom!) of marketing. The actual distillery is at Carbost...... on the inside arm of the sea Loch that dries out to inglorious mud and a strong tang of seaweed.

DD, back to back taste tests of Irish whiskies are grand. Sort of like back to back test rides of motorcycles. ;) I'm not so sure about the "twice as drunk for less dosh" approach. ("Dosh"? Is that slang for cash?) I tend to be a quality over quantity gal. But I'm also open to new perspectives! ;):p Especially when it involves whiskey.

I'll have to see what the Redbreast prices are like at our local Total Wine store (what I call Totally Wine Dude). I've yet to buy or try your highly recommended white label Bushmills to compare. That seems to be your "go to" so I'll go for that over the Paddy. I'm still working my way through bottles that are already in our home bar. :joy::joy::joy: But I'm totally out of any Irish whiskey at the moment much less the Redbreast which has become a favorite. There's a great little restaurant--bar not far from my house that has a 1/2 price on all whiskies (including Irish whiskey, Scotch, bourbon, and rye) which makes it a great evening to do taste tests. And Mr. Sandi is "one and done" so he's a great designated driver! :)
