Eek! That is expensive. Although it's delicious (I had some last night to make double sure), I'm not sure it's that much better. As I said, though, I was gifted with the two bottles I've had. So far. ;) Lucky me. :)

Glyn, though I rated your post "Funny", I rated DD's response "Agree" because if you stick a drop of Coke in Redbreast you ARE a heathen. And definitely not goin' to heaven. ;)

Yes, Mr. Phillips would be a heathen if he put Coke into a dram of Redbreast...maybe even for simply suggesting it! I'll check out the bushmills.com page. Pretty cool that it's older than the USA. Though that said, some days I FEEL older than the USA.

So how do I get to the page with the white label Bushmills photo?? You must have a bottle lying about, eh? Would you mind posting a photo and not make me tax my (poor) tech skills, DD? I'd surely appreciate it. :kissing_heart:

    That’s the one.

In defence of Glyn , if I have a bottle of Whisky/Whiskey/Rye/Bourbon etc that I can’t drink neat because of its character... I experiment with usual diluents, usually-
    1) room temp water
    2) ice
    3) ginger ale
    4) green ginger wine
    5) coke
If I don’t like it with one of them, it’s lighter fuel!

I was on Valkyrie APA last night, but when I needed to freshen my taste buds... this was absolutely bob on for the job! Elvis juice extraordinaries

Haha, DCS! Nice "diluents" list. All a good idea--though I've no idea what green ginger wine is and it sounds suspicious to me.

If I had a bottle of whisky/rye/bourbon that I ccouldn't drink neat, I'd probably "regift" it to someone who doesn't care or can't tell the difference. ;) Then I'd have to do some soul-searching as to how that bottle wound up in my possession. Maybe too much whisky/rye/bourbon?:p

I'll bet that grapefruit wheat beer is a great refresher in the summer!

Here's this evening's refreshing selection. The name and label seem particularly appropos for this group!
