But what if it doesn't perform as you would hope? Surely it will be too late to find out if all is not well with your scheme by then!
Best plan is to sample it on a nightly basis, from now on, to check that it is performing as it should - a colder night or two before winter sets in should give you an indication of its efficacy.:yum
However, this will most likely mean that another bottle will be needed before winter. This will, of course, need to be checked again, as per the first bottle, for its consistency to perform as desired.
Sadly, this will now mean that another bottle will be needed to replace bottle number two.
Assuming bottle 2 performed as well as bottle 1, then bottle 3 should be okay, although regular sampling to check consistency of both taste and performance may be deemed necessary by your good self.
By this time the colder weather will probably have arrived and so regular usage of this fine looking spirit will, by now, have already ensued. Bottle 4 will now need to be acquired.:grinning:
It will obviously be good policy to stock up with several more bottles of this wonderful product in case you have to endure a particularly harsh winter - indeed a case or four may be necessary to help you maintain your good health and wellbeing over the whole winter season. You wouldn't want to be snowed in without any supplies now, would you?
Remember also that bulk buying may entitle you to a healthy discount:cool: on the purchase price - YORKSHIRE!! (Oops, sorry!)

I do hope that you will find all of the above both helpful and informative.

N.B. Please let us know next Spring if you have accidentally overstocked on your supply of this fine whisky. Should that be the case, we can easily arrange to send a delegation of forum members/reprobates/drunken bums to your humble abode to help you reduce the size of your whisky lake.
    Just saying!

Us Germans, we don’t wash our mouths! This would be contraproductive to the growth of hair on our teeth...
    ;)

But it’s been rumored that a couple of Teutonics lately have been seen ‘Milling around the Bush’, if you get my meaning.

Me I am deeply affected by the produce made north of Hadrian‘s Wall...

Steve, in my new funtion as a professional barfly I warmly thank you for the elaborate instructions on enjoying single malts and other spirits. I see now, why almost only explorers from your island could have survived all these Arctic expeditions in those days! :)

I wouldn't put ginger ale or lime in it, yuk ! just ice for me. Lime in gin yeah.
Bought a litre bottle of the JD Honey on the ferry back from Zeebrugge for £26, in my local Asda it's either £32 or £36 I can't remember the exact price. I thought I might save it and take it up to the Scottish Trip next May and share it with James @Sprinter as I helped him drink his bottle of JD Honey back in Wales. Somehow though James I don't think it's going to get there, sorry.
