That was a good intro to this, my next post:

I got a George Dickel Tennessee No.12 from the Easter Bunny ...
...and just had a glass of J.D. No.7 and the Dickel to compare.
Very impressed by the latter! It is a good deal smoother than the Jack and does not have this unique aftertaste that reminds me a little of paper-glue.
Don‘t get me wrong, I like both, but George would be my weekend choice vs. the Jack as the everyday working horse.:p
Oh, is it weekend yet? Thirstday? You must be kidding...:grinning:

This place is where I am most Friday nights :-

If you scroll down to their cask ales, the one I drink is on the right, St George's.
A superb quaffing ale, so cheap I've never checked the price but around £2 per pint or so. A real coal fire and friendly bar staff who will go the extra mile.

I have a son-in-law in the trade who knows how to keep an old git sweet. This stuff is a bit special. I have to hide it from the other son-in-law.......

Our lass has got the hot tub out for the weekend, and she's bought me a 5L keg of Speckled hen to sup. Then later going to a school reunion, I left in 1974, so there should be a few shocks there, and then on to a mates 50th in mi local. looks like being a good day, when I get home from work, which I'm leaving in about 15 mins.
