No offense, @Pegscraper, but I had the, er, "opportunity" to taste Marmite one time years ago on a scuba diving trip and wasn't keen on it (understatement). I'd need a six pack of beers to wash down that dose of Marmite on your crackers. But to each his (or her!) own.

 

Maybe if you'd tried it when out of the water .. ??

 

We have a saying over here Sandi, "it's Marmite" which can describe anything that you either love or hate. Marmite is certainly that IMO and not something you can grow to like which I think is down to it's high saltiness which you no doubt discovered!
The beer in the photo was a very nice brew and the first of several by the way!

 

Gotta get rid of that "high saltiness" any which way you can .. sensible chap !

 

Apparently, The name is an old Yorkshire one for a Hedgehog.

 

I love a good IPA, @Pegscraper. Fortunately for me, my hubby does not. And that means that I don't have to worry that my IPA stash in the refrigerator will disappear when I'm not looking.
