    Jack Daniels? Horrible American stuff.
A bit like "Prom Night" and "Trick or Treat".
I could never work out what was wrong with "mischief night" and "Thank fuck I've finished school", or perhaps the one really good Alice Cooper song "Schools Out".
Just had a few nice tots of 16yr old Lagavulin, now that's a nice drink.

:joy::joy::joy: Actually, my heritage is nearly 100% Swedish, Peter, with just a sprinkle of Norwegian thrown in. Mr. Sandi on the other hand just learned recently that he is 40+% Scottish with most of the rest being English. For most of his adult life he's functioned under the assumption that he was pretty much all Irish. Thank you ancestry.com. ;)

I've had that Bunnahabhain actually, and loved it! But I've not had it for many, many years. I may need to put a bottle in the cabinet again.:yum

We tended to call that Saturday night - Friday night out drinking with the lads - Saturday night out, and in, and out with the girls. Worked really well - every week not once a year

Prom isn't once a year, it's once a lifetime. I know, cultural differences and all that so I don't expect you to get it.

Scotch Whisky, yuk! Can't stomach the stuff. The very smell of it makes me wretch. When I was 19 I got dangerously drunk on Teachers one time and was bad for several days. Hated it ever since. Quite parshall to Bourbon or Brandy though but ales are more my bag.

Funnily enough Teacher’s is the one blend I studiously avoid. If you hold your nose it is incredibly hard to differentiate brandy and whisky from taste alone.

Yeah, my Dad always liked his Whisky and Teachers was one he avoided. He used to bang on about single single malt vs blended whiskies. "You should try a real Whisky" he used to say to me. He would readily pay £50-£60 a bottle and thats 20 years ago.

I distinctly heard a bottle of 12 yr old Glenlivet say, “Pssst!” as I walked past. I mean, it would be rude to ignore it.
