Had a cracking days riding with @andypandy in the Derbyshire Dales today. Me and the Thruxton covered over a 100 glorious miles today. I just love the roar of the big twin.
I must have rode past Jodrell Bank (https://www.jodrellbank.net/) loads of times, but never stopped for a photo. It was looking glorious today in the sun shine.

I rode on up to the Cat and Fiddle and whilst there is an average speed camera zone it is still a lovely ride on the Thruxton. Mind the wind was blowing really strong from the east, which was bloody freezing.

I met Andy in Buxton and then rode on to Hassop station. We have been a couple of times before but never found the sun trap that we sat in today. It was so warm and a very pleasant place to enjoy lunch.
    IMG_6405.jpeg

Onwards we rode to Monyash a popular biker stop off. There was a usual variety of bikes on show.

Ice cream and brew sat in the sunshine cannot be beaten. After chewing the fat and viewing the bikes we headed our separate ways home. The satnav took me over the moors on a road I have only been on once before, it was a brilliant ride. I stopped for photo before heading for home.

A fantastic warm up before Andy and I head for France in May. :)

Some great hidden unclassified and single track lanes in that neck of the woods and over towards The Roaches. I usually find a new one every time I go over there!

Commuted on the Street Triple today; pretty swift on the way to work with a strong overtaking game ;) and pretty chilled on the way home.

Slight correction to earlier post as i was going to have a run out Wednesday but my back decided to play up so was delayed to today. my first run this year started with a run to the view point above Blackgang for a cup of tea as was cold despite the sun. then a trip to Shanklin for a pie and chips and another cupper. then a run through to Ryde for a 99 ice cream and a sit out of the wind to warm up and enjoy the view before heading home. what a great way to spend a few hours.

Took the Daytona for an MOT. Cursed it loved it then cussed it again!

Started a treat. Checked lights horn etc +quick spanner check as it`s been in hibernation 7 years with a lot of stop start work. Brakes were a little sticky moving it around but i thought lets give some jip on the road to see if they free up?
Took her down the lanes on way to MOT & first thing not quite right was the clutch. Now i`ve read loads on here about sticking clutches so bled mine & on the stand running up it seemed fine. On the road in traffic it was err fun when with the lever back to the bar it was still crawling forward:worried:..with a traffic jam ahead i was a little concerned but it started to get better so i carried on. The brakes were now ok after 4miles so a win:).I had to go down the outside of the traffic as much as possible because of the clutch but it was getting better mile after mile.
Anyway, gets to MOT station & they love it cuz they a`int seen one in years. Starts Test & all is going well until he tries the lights. I had park & high beam but no dip beamo_OWhen i flippantly switched the lights on to check them i missed the fact of no dip beam:mad: as i was`nt looking directly at the headlamps as i could see the lights came on in the fairing but Bugga! Bless em at Chase Superbikes Cannock huge thumbs up for going above n beyond to get the Daytona a pass but to no avail:poop: Dip beam will just not work. Everything else i was worried about on the bike bloomin passed!
    So Question,
anyone got any ideas??? I`ve had both switches apart to clean them up just in case but no change. I`ve tried a spare L/H switch but no change. Both relays click when they are supposed to. I obviously have power through wires for the bulbs to work on park & main beam. Which takes me back to the right handlebar switch but it SEEMS fine when i test it:confused:
Anyone had similar with a Daytona 900/1200 or a Trophy 900/1200?????

Picked my exhausts and front calipers up from ceramic coating yesterday and re-fitted this afternoon.

Today I took the Street Triple and Helmut the Tuono to the outskirts of Cheltenham to run an errand. Very chilly and a bit foggy when we set out but soon warmed to chilly rather than very for the rest of the day :p.

We went to Gloucester Airport for a coffee and some lunch and it became apparent from the amount of spotters on the way in that there was something good there…which turned out to be a Vampire which was brilliant; Helmut got a few photos and videos :). We also saw a Meteor come on to land. After that we returned home via Dom’s Bike Stop so got some good mileage in today on some great roads to ride :).

Spring finally came to Gothenburg. Taken some rides running in the TEC cam. Even some short runs to rev limiter, it just revs so willingly, never had that problem with the stock cam. Well worth upgrade. My son bought a MV Agusta Brutale so been riding with him, changing bikes. No way i can keep up with him, that thing is fast and the way it handles in curves is just unbelievable. But it is nervous, half an hour on it and i am exhausted!
