Great winters day for a ride. Good turn out and plenty of bikes on the road :heart:

@Helmut Visor (on his Tuono) and I set out early today before the heat got too brutal: Home - Bronllys - Abergavenny - Dom’s bike stop in Leominster - home (about 100 miles).

What a beautiful day for those roads and that scenery, it was really lovely. The roads got pretty busy towards the end of the ride, but it started off lovely and quiet. The dawdlers were out en masse I think.
There were far fewer bikes on the roads than usual today - I think a lot of people have made the decision to completely avoid riding in these temperatures. Dom’s is usual packed mid - morning on a Sunday but even there there were only had a handful of bikes in the car park.

Triumph was well - represented though :).

I went out early on the Thruxton before it got to hot. Stopped for a drink at Broxton and then stopped under the shade by the canal.

moved on to J & S where I came across a RE Continental GT and two Thruxton RS special additions.

They do a good breakfast at both cafes, Sunday mornings are really quiet now, most tend to go to Glasson Dock, Wednesday evenings still see a fair few attending, however an awful lot gravitate to Glasson Dock, the classic bike night at Wray gets bigger and bigger, the classic car night gets that busy people are being turned away. I always avoid the Bridge personally and head to Hawes (cheapest petrol around as well, it is a none for profit local amenity) or Settle and further up to the Lakes.

Because of an urgent matter I was today at night at short notice over 130 km on the road with my Bonnie T120. It was not my first night ride with her, but I am very satisfied with the quality of the headlights and the available light even in complete darkness.

I take it by "The Bridge" you refer to Kirkby Lonsdale?

I took the Tiger in for a check up before my Spain trip. New tyres (pilot 5’s) and front brake pads. All good now for my trip, lovely ;)
