Had to ride my bike into london today!!! It was like driving into a hairdryer, even worse when stopped in traffic with engine heat drifting up and some artic blowing hot air at you sideways. When I got to my destination I was wetter than if I'd been caught in a thunderstorm! Blah! Oh for some open country roads
Well I've been out on some open roads and couldn't wait to get home. It is currently 38°c with us, so the only comfortable place is the lounge with the shutters closed.
Tell me about it...with the high exhaust stuck on the m3 today was almost unbearable...unfortunately was ony my way to work so no cold beer!! Only saving grace was I fitted my tors today so made some noise being hot!
Yes its all to much, it is 33c here today and I will not ride without the protective gear on, so it is in the car with the AC on, it seems its either boiling or wet and windy these days, what happened to those nice balmy pleasent days we uses to get years ago ? oh and did I mention how stupid some drivers are on the road when its hot they are just not thinking or looking as they should !! At last I got round to washing mine,it's only been sitting for a week. I was going to polish it as well but got bored and went for a ride. A few bikes about,but what a miserable bunch of gits! NOBODY! nodded,waved,or acknowledged me at all. Ended up at a dealers for a bacon sarnie.
Took mine to the F1 GP great ride there race was good for the few laps with masa leading then came the first pit stops and Lewis took over started to walk back to my bike and completely lost my bearings where I'd parked the bike took my ages to find it !!!! Then to top it all went trough a speed camera a bit too fast didn't see it flash so will now have to wait for the postman
Stopped to help a guy on a Daytona whose gear lever had come loose. Luckily I had the right size allen key and the bolt hadn't fallen off.
Went out for a 1 hour blat to clear my head after a sh!tty day last night round the Surrey country lanes. Got home feeling exceptionally good, then realised it was partly due to the fact my eyes weren't itching and sore and my nose wasn't streaming! Hay fever season over??
Just been for an hours blat, to meet up with a young guy who has just set himself up as a specialist motorbike mechanic. Seems to have a conscientious attitude and considering he's been up and running for only 6 weeks he is remarkably well equipped - digital wheel balancing for example. I know where I'll get my tyres changed from now on.

Have left the baffles in for now. @ Eric - you remember how she used to sound "not really like a Triumph" - well now she does !!
Glad you managed to get them on Dave - bit of a bugger aren't they? - but they do sound good. I still have mine as the bike was wearing it's debaffled stock pipes at the time of the accident. There was very little if any wadding around the baffle on mine, so I knocked the baffles out and wrapped some around and fixed in place with lock wire. Deepened the sound without reducing it too much.
Just got back after a little outing Steve and I'm sure the bike feels "happier" with these new pipes on.
Having picked up a set of ''pea shooter'' silencers from Motad, and fitted them yesterday. Today I took the Bonny out for a short test run, this turned out to be a 2 hour blast around the country roads of Shropshire, just could not stop. I cannot believe I am on the same bike as last week. The sound from these pipes is just great, and the odd pop as you roll off the throttle makes it all the better. I also think the bike pulls better in mid range (not so many gear shifts ) The silencers took about 30 minutes to fit, and the best part for me was the fact that no rejetting was required. Best money I've spent on the bike todate. Thank you Motad. La Roca

Well due to being between sets of shifts and it's raining, I decided to fit a couple of mod's. Namely a new Hel brake hose, Alloy master cylinder cover, Renthal handlebar brace and Ahem "White hand grips" ...... All parts went on ok. White grips are a bit Marmite I know but I like them.
