Did exactly the same when I fitted heated grips on the Mrs's Street Triple, both the inner alloy inserts came out rarther than the screw just undoing. Think the guys in the factory went mad with locktite, ended up tapping them out and going up 1 thread size.

put my new lever on, a new indicator lense (genuine triumph, cheaper than ebay tat..!), engine bolts and gave him a damn good clean up. Looking much better now, ready for the riding season :) (saying that, he is out everyday anyway..)

My mates Street R was the same.. He got the bars changed on a warrenty claim. My dealer is putting mine through as warranty as well so hopefully will get it sorted for free...worst case I'm going to have cut it down and re- tap as well.....

Fitted the Triumph drilled stem mirrors that i got off ebay for £45 :upyeah:
The standard round mirrors were ok when i had the America handlebars fitted but since changing over to the Speedmaster bars & risers with the round mirrors i struggled to see past my own shoulders.

took him out for a blast in the sun to see how he was with the proper bars etc. Also dropped the forks back down the yokes to where they should be. He was like a different bike, handling was where I hoped it would be, comfort was better, confidence in him was better...all round improvement in everyway. Happy little bunny now

Nice ride out today, added another 100 miles and proper opened it up for the first time today  Spent the rest of the day cleaning the salty crap off the bike.

Also beware if riding around Derbyshire Peaks, saw a marked police Honda Fireblade today thought they all rode Pans and BMW's

they usually are. But he is a big hefty thing, definitely not lady like  Could of called him Rosie though, after the classic AC/DC song

Decided on Ranulph as he is all british and stiff upper lipped..also It felt like I had frostbite riding him home in minus 2 conditions

Having decided on Oxford Nano indicators, won a set of four on eBay for virtually half price, they arrived yesterday, so started to strip out the existing, began to wish immediately, that I hadn't done such a neat n tidy job when I fitted the last set and tail tidy!!
Tail end stripped, one front indicator fitted... That will do for one night... Will finish tomorrow!!
    First ones looking good :upyeah:
