Brilliant tyres sir. Got 6.5k on mine and still have life (not much though).
    Good choice.

I love those tyres. With 6,4k miles on them the front tyre was at the markers, rear had about 1,5 mm left. As my trip could end up being over 2k miles I replaced as a set.

Thanks for the photos, @Vulpes. That looks like a very elegant and secure system. Seeing how the loops are fastened around the subframe on your bike has given me a couple of ideas for a different way to attach my Nelson-Riggs tail bag to my Speed Triple. :):kissing_heart:

Pardon my denseness (or density?) ;):joy:, but what tires are those? I'm not well-versed with tire options for the Speed Triple though I know there are some related threads on this forum. I still have the stock ones on my Speedy but will need to be shopping for new ones reasonably soon. It certainly sounds like you'd recommend your new tires. What do you love about them?

Your not allowed to do that in OZ
The front number plate , that's illegal in Australia.
Ever since a pedestrian got sliced up (believe that was a Constable) .
I don't think it adds to the look anyway. I think it's been law since the mid 70"s

Not who you asked, but those are Michelin Road 5's. Great all around tire,

Today's Sunday group ride was a bit like "Groundhog Day" for me in that I rode the same route and ate at the same cafè as yesterday's ride. Today people really wanted to eat at the Oracle Patio Cafe because they are closing tomorrow for two weeks in order to take a summertime vacation.

Some of the differences are that I was on my Speed Triple RS today and yesterday I was on my non-Triumph H-D Low Rider S (and reported on it in the What Have You Been Doing With Your Non-Triumph Today thread). And I was only riding with one other person--my boss and girlfriend, L. Today it was Mr. Sandi and me and three other guys. I was the lone woman. The weather was similar to yesterday's weather but it was a bit warm, particularly on the ride back home.

There were three motorcycle manufacturers represented today--2 Harleys, 2 Triumphs, and a Suzuki. It felt really good to be back on Speedy as I've not had him out on the road for awhile.

HD in this case stand for High Desert, not Harley-Davidson.

The Patio Cafe is a hopping spot on Sunday mornings!
    IMG_1575.jpeg

    IMG_1605.jpeg

But not so hopping that we couldn't get a nice table in what we call the Cabana. ;):grinning:
    IMG_1581.jpeg

    IMG_1565.jpeg

I ordered the Croissant Bacon and Egg Sandwich which was delicious!! :yum
    IMG_1602.jpeg

I posted some other photos of the interior of the cafe in the "non-Triumph" thread but found these this case right near the front desk area. The friend with whom I rode here yesterday commented that she needed to come back in her car sometime because there are SO many great things available in the cafe's expanded marker.

    Pastries and pies:

We usually add a dogleg stretch of road that's beautiful--Webb Road. But there's an area that floods with the least bit of rain and with all the rain we received in July--a new record for the wettest July since they've been keeping track at 8.6 inches. Total average annual rainfall for southern Arizona is 11.5. Everything was very green and the sides of the road were (again) blanketed with Mexican Golden Poppies. All is all a wonderful 90-mile ride with friends...and food. "Live to ride. Ride to eat!" ;)

What I love about these tyres (indeed Michelin Road 5's) is that they're confidence-inspiring both on dry and wet surfaces. And they're relatively long lasting as well.

As the heat wave finally ceased , I had a great 2.5 hr ride in the Mountains early this morning on my TFC, in the mid 70's. So relaxing. I've been riding My Ducati Supersport 950 S most of the summer, and while it's a bit more performance..it runs HOT, such a pleasure to not be scorching my legs at stoplights.

The girl decided to spew the coolant today lucky on the way to the trumpet garage, this was after my off last Thursday. Went up to see about repairs and I think she had enough anybody knows the best way to tidy up the frame scratches ?

Might be worth trying somewhere like ChipsAway or a friendly car alloy wheel refurbisher?
Otherwise it's trying to find a good colour match for touch-up paint (guessing Triumph won't be much help) and some careful polishing.

The rain finally stopped so I went for a little 100mile ride before it started again with only time for a quick coffee stop.

Nice trip via Loomies today and stopped by a local church in Chilton Foliat on the way home for a scenic photo shoot.
