No pictures this time: this ride through was all about going fast and cutting curves :)

The stop at the peach stand was literally 5 minutes...

I do have a set of my favorite shots from one of my previous trips there, though: https://www.aaronbrownphotography.com/fredericksburg-2012

Hopefully when you old enough to wear long trousers you will take the stabiliser (trainer) wheels off.

ah, people, thank you for the suggestions on the sudden misfire. i went down to the shop, turned on the ignition, and watched the oil pressure light while i pulled on all the wires again. and here it was:

should have been obvious to me that it was a power lead, as there's no other way to make the oil pressure light flicker. on this machine, there's a little shorai battery and there's a hot lead from the battery positive to a toggle switch for on/off. then a single lead from the switch to the fuse block. from there various circuits go in and out, including the hot wire to the oil pressure sender.

the screw terminal on the fuse block for the main feed wire from the toggle switch had loosened, so although the wires were in place, vibration could make or break the connection to the rest of the harness. thirty seconds to tighten the screw, ten more to test it, and i was done.

took it out again, no issues whatsoever. so i took the opportunity to ride out to town and then an hour back into the countryside to home. beautiful day.

Another 9 to 5 riding day, 240 miles to and around the Lincolnshire Wolds. :grinning:
When I got back, Mrs Mouse asked if we could go to seaside, so will be going that way again next week.

I took the wife's striple to work today - she might want to take it away from me... 60 years of age and I ride like an idiot on that thing... it's just so exhilarating!

I don't have boxes that have been unopened for "quite" that long, @Wessa. ;) But I do have some that have remained unopened long enough that I really don't know what's in them. I think I'd be best off simply disposing of them unopened. If I haven't need whatever the contents are by now, I likely never will. Plus it would free up some space for more boxes. :joy:

I know what you mean. I really do need to get them boxes down and sort through them. I’m sure there are loads of stuff the charity shop can use/sell

I am applying for planning permission to build a new detached car port type garage on an existing drive. This will be linked to the house with a glazed roof to form a “summer room” ( for the two days of summer we get here. It will be linked to the existing garage, where the bikes are stored. If it goes through the planning process I will have more room for boxes…….or bikes…! However it will be a man cave type arrangement so some of my existing boxes will have to go elsewhere as I won’t want them on display… So in reality I will have more room but have storage for less boxes.

Nice 130 mile ride today via the Super Sausage. Updated route was much better than last time and even managed to stop off at the H Cafe (Berinsfield) on the way home,

Just finished a couple of bits on the Bonnie and sat around contemplating how hot it is in the garage

I’ll be at the Super Sausage in the morning..! I hope your route took in the A413 from Aylesbury to Buckingham. Known locally as gods road. It’s quick and has good visibility and flowing bends. The MV and me will be seeing it around 07.00 tomorrow!

Indeed it did. Last time I let the Sat Nav pick a medium twisty route and whilst it took me via some lovely little villages the roads were more suited to a trail bike than my Street Cup with ace bars and rearsets.
Maybe time to get an additional little scrambler type bike :)

I’m sorry, but every time I see “Super Sausage” the 13 year me giggles at the mental image of a really inappropriate super hero! :joy:

Added an adjustable, folding shifter from sw-motech, so I don’t snap the shifter peg off if I drop it hard on the left.

Also added a set of pivotpegz to better distribute weight when standing up. The stock set of pegs on a Tiger really are small and slippery.
