Sad to hear about your accident, but encouraged by the fact that you are able to tell us about it, it could have been far worse. I hope your recovery is swift and you are able to get back to riding soon. Thinking about you ❤️

Oh dear, Capt. That's a seriously bad incident to experience, recall and suffer! Really hope that you're out of pain and off the meds quickly .... and, though your personal recuperation is more important, do hope that Sprint Exec is repairable - we need all the old T3s out there flying the flag!

    Speedy recovery, Capt.!

@capt that is really a million to one chance smash. I hope you are getting better quickly. Don’t worry for now about the bikes. They are replaceable - you aren’t.

Sincerely hope you are able to get back in soon and keep us entertained with your travel stories.

    Good luck!

Well the snow was melting off today from a cold front yesterday so unfortunately no riding but it's never a bad day to admire the details of a Daytona

Today, I rode my Scrambler 1200XC the 49 miles to work (as is my normal routine). It was a beautiful hi-desert pre-dawn ride this morning, but the winds have since picked-up, and it's promising to be a blustery ride home at the end of the day.

I don't know, the things people will do to get a ride in a plane / helicopter. ;)

Ask your quack for some Metoclopromide or Cyclizine to deal with the nausea.
As you have fractured collar bone and ribs I recommend you read the thread "this made me laugh". All I had after breaking mine was friends telling me jokes....just to see the tears rolling down my face. :cold_sweat:

Hope you mend quickly and get everything sorted.

Give your wife my sympathy, she'll have a lot to put up with. :joy:

I picked up my Speed triple from the shop having had a Lust Racing 30mm lowering spacer fitted , had a nice ride for an hour and found I can finally feel confident approaching traffic lights, zebra crossings etc

    Hi Mike!
You can drop the front a bit to counter it and it definitely feels just as good (to me anyway!)
I dropped the front 1.5cm only (possible to do more but I didn’t want to damage the rad/mudguard as i've a protector on) and all good.
    Enjoy!

I've decided to forgo the pain Meds as they were only damping out Life and not really doing much pain wise.
The Meds were stopping my bowels from functioning properly , so only going to take Panadol as required from now on. I've been through broken ribs etc five years ago. I have a very high threshold to pain and two weeks since I broke them , they only mildly annoy me if I sneeze or cough too hard .
Family will be visiting shortly , it's Saturday and a weekend of family will be just what I need !!
Got Granddaughter and her husband coming along with all the daughters over the weekend ...
I had the monster of all nauseous heads and stomach upset... Vomit comet had nothing on me between 5:30 and 10:45 this morning.
Coffee toast and all better now at 11:00 am.
Still no news from the insurance company, did my riding gear quote $2064.00 and it's not all top notch gear ! Helmet and jacket alone = half of the quote.

    cheers capt
