Well, I fell victim of brexit today - I had to pay fecking VAT on my rad guard from the UK!

Received winker, adapter cables, an Evotech licenseplate holder and a Kriega US10 bag.
    Also a new LS2 FF399 helmet.

    Only one thing is missing...
A bike to mount or use it on.

    Will get her next week.
    So excited.

Hmmm, never thought I'd even consider buying a bike from the house builder but it looks pretty good. Getting others involved that can actually design and build the clever bits properly (gearbox and electrics) might have me taking a closer look. I expect they'll go for one of those silly wrap around the back wheel lights and number plate thingies but that's easily got rid of with the application of a hacksaw :).
I might just buy one - mind you I wonder what the price will be? They say it needs to be at a price people are willing to pay. Is that R3 price range - well North of 20 Grand, then no chance.

    I quite like it tbh.
Decent power and decent (ish) mileage.
Certainly not a tour machine (yet) but 80% battery in 20 mins is getting there.
Best looking one yet in my mind but who's to say the production one will end up like it?
    Hope so.

I'm not yet convinced, tbh. I still like the beefy look of my 2005, and just love the throaty triple roar.

Well I know I should have waited for the 1st April to tax the Thruxton, but the weather was so good I though oh just do it. Lost three weeks in the month, but it was worth it. I love this bike . Not content with my morning ride I got the tiger out for an afternoon ride. Lovely day and the good news was did not need to clean the bikes before putting them in the garage.

It's my first bit of kit from them - it looks very well made indeed. Should be an easy fit.

Fitted Tamarit side panels to my Street Cup. They are smaller than stock and are matt black. I intended putting them back to gloss in due course but as mine is a yellow/silver jobby, the only other gloss black on the bike is the front mudguard, so they actually look ok. Will see.

Have also been running without a flyscreen as I like the naked look (also too much yellow for me personally) but just fitted a tinted Thruxton screen. A direct fit as exactly the same shape, size etc as the SC one but dark tint. Actually looks great - very pleased with the look and it does help a (very) little with wind blast!

Also, almost finished running-in a new "de-restrict" camshaft - taken ages during lockdown but almost there - bring on the good weather.

That is great news. It is really poor that you have to pay though. Mind if it fixes your pain I guess it is worth it. Good luck with op

I guess the private hospitals are making a killing given the delays on the NHS

Got the rear wheel bearing changed, much easier job with a single sided swingarm! New rear sprocket on too, just to change the front and the new chain can go on.

Cut the old chain off, there was no joining rivet, all links peined the same, could it be the original chain? P reg daytona with 24k miles
