Need to get the front end out, so struggled to get the bike on the lift backwards; now, in theory, I can drop the forks through the hatch that usually allows rear wheel removal.

Is that Georgia as in the east of Europe, over near Russia? Or Georgia as in the USA, from where the recording of Trump trying to influence the vote (to put it mildly) has just been leaked?

Very nice Tiger Mr Harper. Luvly tidy garage too - even your hat hangs in a bulldog clip. Watch out for that bloke looking through the window or is that you in the mirror?
Best of luck with those forks - they can be a bit of a challenge at times.

Athens, Georgia, USA...my location is on my avatar page, like I see your is Cheshire, UK. So I'm guessing you just wanted to get in the comment about US politics. I didn't hear the phone conversation the way you did and agree with the assessment made to the BBC interviewer that it's semantics (to put it mildly). He didn't ask anyone to change votes or create votes but to find the legitimate votes. But that's a convo for the lounge. Now more back on topic: What was up with this guy?? :( https://www.bbc.com/news/av/uk-55079524 ?? Guessing he wasn't on a Triumph and did he think he was riding the TT? Ride safe.

Had a look at your avatar page but couldn't see the USA bit, I'm probably looking in the wrong place. I genuinely thought it was Georgia, Europe, and I was going to mention a rugby match I played in while on tour in Athens (Greece) against a team fielding several Georgian players. They do like their rugby over there. During an altercation the Georgian flanker deliberately snapped my left index finger (it never healed straight). We lost the game, which I put down to copious quantities of beer the previous night.
I then remembered hearing the Trump report earlier today and the Georgia connection, so I thought I'd ask the question. I can't stand the guy but you're right, politics is best left in the lounge.
As for the chap on the bike in the BBC article, he must have a screw loose. Good thing the cops got him.

Shame he didn't do this at home instead of in England.

In a strictly non rascist and non gender assigned and non homophobic comment from me.

With a name like that I'd guess back home he'd be able to buy his way out of it. At least in the UK there's a small chance he might get to do a bit of chokey. :)

Was in the garage today so I thought I’d start my TWAT:cool: up :)
I left it running until the fan kicked in and off two times :)
Had the door open to let the fumes out and at first there was a lot of condensation coming out of the exhaust
This soon cleared though and the exhaust was as clear as it should be
It’s on my new paddock stand at the moment so I ran it up and down the gearbox a few times :)
Was expecting it to clunk through the gears but it was as smooth as something smoothy:cool:
Can’t wait to be able to ride the feckin thing

The 800 has the sweetest gearbox of all current Triumphs IMHO

Funnily enough I’ve got a mate round the corner who I am thinking of asking if he’ll take it out for me :)
Depends on how much longer it takes before I can ride it

he can scrub the panicky’s in for me and see if I’ve overhauled the brakes properly :joy:

The Speed gear box is fantastic especially after 100 miles when the whole engine is hot and she just slips.

Booked speedy in for a valve check this Saturday. At 45.000 km she's 5000 overdue, but hey ho, my trip to France got in the way. I opted for a local chap as opposed to the dealer, so as to support local business. If the weather's crappy on Saturday he offered to collect her here, free of charge!

Trip back over to Matarangi for brunch. Remembered to take the pic before eating it all. Nice coffee and lamingtons, after pie.

I hope you can enjoy the pix without too much withdrawals.
I was very jealous looking at your last dive trip, as COVID-19 spoilt one I had planned earlier this year.:poop:
I still find I can get enjoyment sharing the “forum trips”
