Yikees! Just saw that every emoji was stripped out of my last post so it has an unintended tone in parts...darn post gremlins. Anyway, still sad that dealership closed and glad for stevethegoolie's nudge to look otherwise it would not have "occurred" to me to look either...especially since I assume most members are in the UK...probably bad to assume but that's another conversation.

Christmas has come early for the little Scrambler! I was going to do another "what's in the box" post but what the feck, some new boots and engine dresser bars. Time to break out the spanners and the tyre levers.:grinning::grinning:

That's lovely - I like pretty much all of the Triumph jackets and they're superb quality. I picked this one up (a Higham) in the sale myself and then managed to snag the matching gloves.

Hubby and I commented to each other on the same thing. We noted with appreciation (and a touch of jealousy) that it looked like a bike that had seen some riding! Loved the pic.

I just returned from a "cool" 90 km (56 miles) tour. It was great! Temperature from 6 degree celsius (42,8 F) to 0 degree celsius (32 F).
    Snowy greetings from Austria!;)

I had my '98 sprint apart yesterday. The fuel tap let go' lost at least 10 ltrs of fuel. The fuel tap had a bit of something stuck in it. Bit of a blow back cleared that up, fuel leakage was because the fuel line fitted was Too large internal diameter. It wasn't a tight enough fit. It moved over time and loosened up enough to leak. New fuel tap from JCS in Perth "quoted" $155 Aust. Cost me 2hrs and $10 for a metre of correct hose , only used about half of it.
Lucky break for me it wasn't the Tap !?!?

    cheers capt

    Time to test ride ;):):p

I'm sure sorry to read that your dealership closed its doors, Tim. I remember when our previous Triumph dealership in Tucson went out of business. We didn't have one in town for over six months. Then someone moved in, took it over, and it's much better now than it ever was. Several of the same guys that worked at the first dealership were hired by the new one, too. So I'll keep m fingers crossed that the same happens in CO Spring.
