So fall is here, I've got a deck and yard covered with leaves that need raking, a house that needs worked on, but- it was going to be 70 degrees and sunny. What's that in the corner of the yard under cover? Bikes! Maybe last nice day. To ride or not to ride?

I'm horrible at being a grown up- plus I've got a new rider that needs the experience! To ride it is.

Great choice, @crane operator! All that raking and house work can wait. Sunny and 70º with bikes waiting to hit the road? Not only a great choice--the ONLY choice! :):sun:

Bought a second hand set of headers. Cheap... stripped out the cat, welded back up and fitted to bike. Twin arrows sound much sweeter on the speed now. Loving it.

Beautiful, Lee! You could blow up that photo, frame it, and hang it on the wall. It's definitely art to my eye. :)

Thanks, Duck! I don’t know if y’all follow the tradition of the gremlin bell over there so I guess I should have asked.

I call it a gremlin bell because that is what my first one said instead of guardian bell. Being an old jet mech it makes perfect sense because we mechs know that the damn gremlins are the cause of all malfunctions on mechanical things.

Well, I meant to RIDE my Triumph today but, like just two weeks ago, my Speed Triple RS had other ideas. :( Last time around it was the battery which was a relatively easy fix. Today I got about 3 miles up the road and felt something very odd and very wrong when I would shift. Revs would go up---speed would not. I had set up a group ride and there were 8 of us. Anyway, I signaled to Mr. Sandi that I needed to pull over and so we all did. My clutch wasn't fully disengaging and was "sticking".

So I I limped back hom escorted by Mr. Sandi and one of our ride buddies by physically pushing the clutch forward when shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to first and then for the higher gearing I used my quick shifter. Once safely in the garage I swapped out my Speedy for my H-D Street Glide then the three of us headed back up the road to join the group for breakfast. I'll call my dealership when they open at 9AM on Tuesday. Fortunately--and what a relief--I checked to see the date I bought my RS and it was November 23, 2018 so it's just three weeks until my factory warranty expires! Whew! :) We wound up having a delightful breakfast and then ride on a terrific route. Another example of why having more than one bike is really nice. :)

If that worked, then it sounds like it's just the clutch lever need lubricating, or possibly the cable is knackered...

Thanks for that input, @tcbandituk. :) Another friend suggested the same thing. I'm hoping that it's as simple a fix as this.

Bad news for sure, Sandi, hope you get it sorted soon.

    Yay for year-round riding!
