Nice ride in the sunshine today via Silbury Hill.
Made even better by the recent fitment of some Conti Road Attack tyres, Massive improvement over the original Pirelli's and no longer follows every line in the road.

A tiny adventure. Click on the thumbnail, right click and copy URL into your browser. For some reason the thumbnail links are not working for me.....probably something I am doing wrong.

Took a ride out to Super Sausage, Towcester on Watling Street (old roman road to those abroad). Had a sausage bap (yum), cuppa and a chat. Four police bikes from hendon on an 'interception course'. Stayed there for three quarters of an hour in the sunshine - luvverly. Back through Potterspury to the A508 and left towards Northampton turning right at Grafton Regis towards Hanslope (which is where the small floods were). For those that can be bothered to work out how to play the video, you might hear what i am talking about in another thread, that is the 'hunting' of my bike or 'faltering' or 'lurching' - be interested in your opinions on that.

Grafton Regis (taken from Wikipedia) The prehistoric site dates back to circa 2500 BC according to Iron Age pottery which was found to the west of the main Northampton Road and to the south of Grafton Lodge which was a Roman site which produced pottery.

A substantial capital messuage stood west of the Church in the Middle Ages. From 1100 to 1348, the manor was in the hands of a Norman monastery whose bailiff or lessee probably occupied the house.

In 1440, the mansion officially became a 'manor house' which belonged to the Woodville family during which time the village was known as Grafton Woodville. The manor was the birthplace of Elizabeth Woodville, queen consort to King Edward IV.

The house and manor passed to the Grey Marquesses of Dorset who were descendants of queen consort Elizabeth Woodville by her first marriage to Sir John Grey. At the end of the 15th century, the house and manor passed to King Henry VIII, grandson of Elizabeth Woodville by Edward IV.

As the weather was finally decent I spent the morning cleaning the muck off my bike from last week's ride. Then, as the weather was decent, me and Mrs Mouse went for a ride and made the bike dirty again :grinning: (Well, motorcycles are for riding, not polishing ;) )

Today i've mostly been cleaning out the man cave - then adjusted and oiled the drive chain..... there's not much else to do on it - not complaining mind....i like it when it starts, runs and stops as expected ....getting a tad breezy out there though

Today was an R&G day. Fitted fork sliders, bar end sliders, cotton reel bobbins and a sidestand extender.

Then had an afternoon nap :p

As a professional **** attending a colleague’s wedding, I once rode from Germany to the UK with a sword similarly strapped cavalry style to my Beemer.

once got stopped on the A1 somewhere between Doncaster and Grantham by the cops when I was coming back from a Living history event at Warwick with kite shield and sword strapped to the back of my 250n

good job they weren't around earlier as I had to move the bike mid show and rode it through Warwick in full Viking gear

Managed to squeeze in a couple of hours on the Daytona in the local countryside - very nice :)

That will be the last ride before starting various winter jobs - got the Panzer for winter use.
