I went for a bit of an explore today, it was bloody cold and windy. I don't know where I was when I took this, somewhere a few miles out out of Daventry...

That is wonderful, @capt! :grinning: What great memory for you and your granddaughter--for your whole family! The fact that her granddad carried her to her wedding on his motorcycle is become part of the family lore and a wonderful story for the ages. She's beautiful, BTW. Does she take after her granddad? ;)

As the nights are drawing in thought I’d check the headlight aim, and main beam pointing at the sky:scream:
Simple to adjust vertical position on the Thruxton by loosening the two headlamp shell bolts and moving the thing up and down:) off for a test now

Beautiful, @Rspete. To say your mate is "very good" with a camera seems an understatement! These images are spectacular. They could be part of a Triumph ad campaign. If your mate ever travels to Arizona, let him (or her?) know that I'll be happy to hire him/her to take photos like these of our bikes, too. :) Definitely poster-worthy!

Next year will be a better year for tweed anyway, @OsteKuste (hopefully) since there aren't DGR big group rides happening this time around. :( And that gives you a whole year to prepare! :joy: I've done DGR the past two years and wore the same jacket (houndstooth rather than tweed) both times hoping that no one noticed--though I have my suspicions that a bunch of bikers might not register that fashion faux pas.;)

Here's a photo from the 2019 DGR so you can see my attire. I have a zip front knit riding "undershirt" of made by Knox that has body armor in it and was wearing that under my white shirt and the jacket. I have a tweedy cap that I wore when the helmet came off.

Is that "head" in American English, Dilli? Or if not, what the heck is "heed"? The clue is esoteric enough without the language barrier.:p

Thanks, for the translation, Dilli! Well, I've googled a number of phrases new to me on the forum and always figure that's my new learning for the day. So "esoteric" can be your new learning for the day. :) And I think you may find a number of uses for it in your "mystery threads". ;)

I will be better prepared next year! I did raise a bit of funds at least. Any idea when the tens to send out some of the goodies? I should have some patches and pins coming. Will add them to my regular riding jacket.

I think I got my stickers and pin a few weeks after the ride date if I remember correctly, OsteKuste. I also got an additional cool patch and letter the first year I did it because I was the high fund raiser for the Tucson ride! The promotor and I got into a good natured competition--we even donated to each other--and we wound up raising as much between the two of us as the rest of the riders combined. I beat him out for the #1 spot by a nose. The following year--2019-- people were ready to rumble and the total number of funds raised in Tucson was about three or four times higher than in 2018. :grinning:

Nah , Chloe is much better Off than that.... She follows her Grandmother and her Aunt's side of the family.
It was Pissing down by the time I set off on My Bike to do my bit and carry Her to the Site where they took their Vows.
I pulled up at the agreed pick up point and Chloe got settled side saddle on the bike. I've never felt my Bike Shaking So much , she was Soon cold in the rain.
They Top picture I posted with Fat Drunken Fingers during the reception is of the Three generations of wives , well Chloe's the newest obviously.
Her Mother is in the White suit... My good lady is in blue on the right and her Aunt's are either side.
I was Saturated !!! So I'd changed into full casual wear , but kept the Tie on ..... IMG_20200927_074528.jpg
Do you like it?? I received it as a Father's Day Present.
Chloe's Mother Tammy found it and bought it. When Chloe heard I had it I had to wear it with the suit...:kissing_heart:

Lost is a state of mind. Did my fair share of hikes along country lanes and walking paths that degenerated in to open pasture. Once, had a entire herd of livestock follow me from one fence to the other, about a mile away.

Caught a nail in the rear tire - no blow out, held air. Was lucky to find the last Pirelli Angel GT 150/70-17 69W on the planet. Got'er mounted in 1-day and I installed it up today. What a pain in the arse especially when there has been a good run of weather. Tubes suck, but the KineoAlpina wheels just dont look right imo. I wish there was an easy tubeless option for stock spoke wheels, and not DIY Outex tape conversion.
