Well, as I’d promised I took tracey out for a spin, although a bit reluctant to put all the gear on, thank god for mesh jackets!. I set off around 18:00 and really glad I did, my mate, who is leaving the country to work, I’ve known him since I was 13, finally got back to me and I went round his place. So much cooler out in the country. Sat outside and had a good reminisce and a few cups of tea and an emotional farewell. Great ride around the country lanes of Surrey and Sussex to get there and very enjoyable ride back in the dark! 0784839D-D6F9-4B12-AAB3-E54E456ACEAD.jpeg

I have had a set on my Thruxton for several years and really happy with them, just be aware that they can corrode at the inside of the painted parts so make sure you clean the crud off and protect any wheel facing parts

Auckland is going into level 3 lockdown:poop:, and NZ to level 2 , so 115mile ride, to work from ”home”

I did the run twice, the second time with the camera under the seat to get clean sound, it didn’t work great as I got quite a bit of road noise so just edited in the cleaner bits

No Wessa, more to get out of Auckland city before lockdown.:p They have found the first community transmission since NZ has been clear:mask:, so looking to isolate NZ biggest city to find source :imp:and ramp up testing  I had planned to head down on Thursday, so left early  Nice ride with mix of long straights and 3 sets of hills with tight twisties :)

That's bad news on the lockdowns, @Dartplayer. :( But I'm glad to see you're creating your own bit of a silver lining with your trusty Triumph.

I enjoyed your video, @crispey! Beautiful (and smooth-looking) road. What year is your Thruxton? Love that paint color. :)

Whenever me and Mrs. JtC are out on the Goldwing I always inform her when we hit the ton, "ton up!" I'll yell and the reply I usually get is, "yeah!!!". Of course, it isn't as spectacular on the 'Wing as it is on the Bonnie. The thing is almost too smooth.

It’s a 2011, originally red colour scheme. The previous owner had the paint job done before he got delivery of it. It is a triumph colour, caspian blue I think.
