I'm off to Midland Perth today . I was in Midland last weekend and bought a new battery for my 2009 America. The battery was ok for two days !! Died Monday afternoon , Think it dropped a cell. Using automotive Battery tester , says "voltage" unstable" can't do a load test , as the bench tester won't load * battery has to be present before load testing is possible.
So I'm off in a bit , going to take the Bike , using a borrowed battery to get there , the shop will test and install new ! In situ .

    cheers capt

@Duckadiledundee , cheers guys , back from Midland Perth, sorted with another new battery ;) The original dropped a cell or some part of the internal lead platform fractured and so the Voltage was unstable and no Amp's for cranking !! I also went into JCS Triumph dealership , enquired about costs of the following electrical parts , in case battery wasn't the cause.
Stator $765•95 , Regulator/Rectifier $547•30 , low fuel warning sensor ~$230 bugger me these Triumphs are expensive to repair !!
I ordered a new Neutral switch ~$47•00 , as my original is leaking oil through the switch body , not past the threads .
So I've ridden about 130kms since new battery today, several stops and restarting and all appears to be going well :):kissing::) so far , I was worrying about stator and rectifier ! But seems my tests before covid19 came about , weren't lying :) Sooo happy .

    cheers all capt

MOT time today... passed :) only advisory was rear wheel alignment slightly out, so I've just ordered a laser tool to hopefully help sort it.

I am actually writing down the VIN number of my bike so I can be assured of ordering the correct parts. :p

Will do, this is the one I've ordered: https://www.bikermart.co.uk/Profi-Products-Laser-Chain-Alignment-Tool-D~CAT-Dot

I had the rear tyre replaced about a week ago, and when I refitted the wheel I was trying to be careful to get the alignment right, using the swing arm markers, measuring with a steel rule from the end of the swing arm, and using one of those crappy chain alignment tools with a metal rod that clamps to the rear sprocket... but I obviously didn't get it good enough , hence getting the laser tool.

The MOT chap said that it wasn't too bad, and better than he had seen the dealers do, and although good enough for an MOT pass, he recommened trying to get it spot on.

Replaced the rear shock on my Daytona yesterday, the lower shock pin was a complete arse but managed it in the end. The old shock looked OK after I cleaned it up but in reality it was completely shot. That followed the fitting of my newly refurbished forks with new springs for my weight. Another day or two before I can get out on the road but I can't wait to test it out. This thing is set for pure comfort now.
