adjusted the drive chain on the bonnie ready for when we are next allowed out, though going to get shopping is allowed so it might be out before the three weeks is up. The weather is nice and we (her indoors and I) are mostly stocked up with all the necessities except we will need more milk at some stage.

The TTR is asleep in the garage so some tinkering with an old friend (60 years more or less together ).

 

You're a Gem. I couldn't work out why we seemed a bit down on power and I kept hearing this faint flapping noise. All is now clear. As for the booze - my Dad used to take me blackberry picking on it which was then turned into wine. Does that count? Oh and the burn-ups along the bypass with the bird on the back;; only in the dreams. In fact that Ladybird getting a lift is the nearest to giving a bird a ride I've ever known.

 

Wash, wash, take apart grease, shine, ACF50 apply. That's my day.

 

Cleaned both the bikes and then fitted a screen to the thruxton ........

 

Done nothing with the bike but spent several hours cleaning and polishing the van.

You guys are correct. 1958 Mk3 LE. Water cooled, shaft drive, horizontally opposed side-valve 4 stroke of 192cc and, an average 50mph camera friendly 8 bhp. Not an ex-police Noddy Bike and bought by my Dad, second hand, for £95 in 1961. My entry to motorcycling commenced age 6 on the back.
