lights.jpg Just got my new license tag for "Lola" today. Good until March 2021. Fees for my 18 year old America in California is $132. And then there is insurance. Hope I can afford to have all 3 bikes back on the road this year. Lola will need a new battery first. The other 2 have thier issues as well this year $$$. ...J.D.

Today I've mainly been sending my Scrambler back to the supplying dealer to fix a bunch of stupid things.

    1. Handle bar top clamp installed upside down, school boy error
    2. Pannier bag busted, does not lock to frame, knob broken
    3. Seat, despite being told it was a low seat, it is not, so correct seat being fitted
    4. Fly screen, only two of the four mounts actually screwed in, other two not engaged (I fixed this already when painting fly screen)
    5. Fuelling lumpy at low speeds, under 30 mph sounds like it wants to, and has stalled a few times, maybe re-map
    6. Being re-PDI'd as it clearly wasn't done thoroughly enough for a fussy fella like me

Handy that the dealer I bought it from is 75 miles from my home, still after some gentle encouragement they agreed to collect and return

just annoying, none of these are show stoppers, but given some are just careless it makes me wonder what else these muppets have done right

I had a first ride out with the new shocks fitted this afternoon. They certainly firm up the rear end of the bike. Well chuffed.:)

Been in the garage this week giving NUDGER a bit of a clean :)
Just doing it bit by bit because I can’t be arsed and it’s Feckin freezing :cold_sweat:
Decided to plug the battery tender in last night and NOTHING  no lights came on to indicate the battery state
So I went in tonight to see what was going on :)
The inline fuse holder on the positive side had rusted lifting the contact off the fuse:(
Bit of a twat to get to because I had done such a good job hiding the wiring away
Anyway I got the wiring away from the bike but still connected and cleaned up the fuse contact :)
Will leave it on the tender until Saturday when the leads need to be removed ready for fitting to my Rocket

We got the new battery for "Lola" coming by FedEx this week. I had to wait until the next credit card cycle to order it. [Keep all my credit card.balances at zero every month]. Cannot complain about that old battery. It was stone dead and had to be recharged before I could test ride this thing back in 20013. Been running that same battery all this time :) . Amazing to me ! ...J.D.
