The lead battery in my Tiger is 5kg vs 1kg (give or take a bit) for the Li version. As I say, I’m not sure even 4kg would be noticeable but did wonder.

How does the Li one perform?

Had it on the kwak for over a year now. Starts on the button with very few piston cycles.
    Fit and forget!! :)

So @Ron Ashurst what did you do to the carbs needle wise ? Lift .. Drop or did you file/sand them down a bit ?
As I am doing a bit of fiddling and tuning to my 98 Sprint !
I Drilled out the bypass vacuum ports in the piston's added a bit of lift 1 shim - wasn't enough , added 2 more - too much fuel economy dropped to 12-13 klms litre , so gone back to 2 shims ~ not sure yet , absolute instant but moderate initial pick up has gone ! But now goes really Hard around 6/7 thousand rpm and up ! Haven't got fuel economy figure yet .

I will be interested in the Diamond Brite , would be interested to see what a difference it will make ! As my 21 years young sprint could do with a facial or make over ! I got offered $500 more than I paid for her the day after the engine armour all treatment and header pipes were polished . So I was well pleased :) :) :)

I can't understand why you don't have a manual of some sort yet?

Got out for only my 2nd ride today.
Brakes seem underwhelming considering they are brembo. Maybe new pads and discs needed there... Also the fan was on loads at 30mph through town. Is this normal in winter? Tested new heated gloves too. Lovely!!

    Hi Stevie
Absolutely normal for fan to be on, mine is on a lot
The coolant temp guage sits around 5/6 of 8 bars, it runs best when being ridden fast. The speed triple isn't meant for town traffic, it's happies on fast A roads.
With winter here, youay want to consider upgrading the headlines guys with a set of LED units l le these

I'd be interested in how effective they are too. If they're the latest KEIS gloves I believe that by pressing the triangular button on the back of them gives you the heat control.

They were expensive. 145 quid from sportsbikes. Com or whatever it is!
I suppose you can pay that for unheated gloves anyway...
You touch the illuminated switch on the back of the glove to cycle through 3 heat sitting. Green orange and red for hottest.
They heat the back of hand, not palmers.
I get a bit of raynauds, so nice for me.
Based on the short ride i had, they seem to be decent quality.

They're official Triumph parts, so they cost me an arm and half a leg (I kept the other leg half as I managed to wangle a discount from the RRP of 197 quid ).

It's a high price to pay for the neatness of grips with no visible wiring and a tiny unobtrusive control button. (Possible because bike already has wiring and control system ready for them)

Hi all , Seasons Greetings , well I promised before and after shots of the Sprint , to show difference between std halogen headlight bulbs and the new LED ones
    Here's std . IMG_20191220_203037.jpg
    Low beam's IMG_20191220_203059.jpg
    High beam's.
    Just arrived yesterday IMG_20191224_064841.jpg
Made in China ! So the Engrish on the Back is Crip ! LOL but that's not why I bought them , $37 as against $179 store bought !! IMG_20191224_064901.jpg
Box contains 2x , I thought they were individual ! So I bought two , I now have four , so the Sprint and America might get a Christmas gift each .
After pictures to follow , will put them in this morning , as it's cooler right now 21°c , forecast is for 37°c like yesterday (40°c is what we got :( ).

    cheers capt
