When the hell did that open?!? I’m clearly not v observant! I’ll go and have a mooch tomorrow.

Edit: It appears to be where Metropolis Motorcycles were based?

Edit 2: Visited today. Nice place just along from where metropolis was located. The sales chap Mr Sale (no joke) was fantastic and knowledgeable.

Got the tiger out at 08:00hs this morning as I needed 150 miles to get to my first service. Freezing fog and only 2 degrees, bloody cold. Two hours and 50 minutes later rode into dealers with 484 miles on the clock; job done.

Service completed, satnav and panniers fitted, so on the way home now.. once bike has cooled down give it a clean before putting it away..

    Just as well up North.

My last excursion ‘aboard’ had me stuck in Leeds for 6.5 hours when the little 30A flex feeding the train broke.

Had problems this year on way to NEC. Overhead cables down, took four different trains to get there. A right pain in the arse..

Got out for a short ride between last nights torrential rain and this afternoons torrential rain! Very pleasant with high overcast filtering the sun and temp in the low twenties.

OK , didn't do anything with the sprint , but went to Perth and spoke to Bill , he's a sales rep etc there. Asked if JCS Triumph workshop had had My sprint in for any work/servicing , as it has 94,000 Kim's on it ! Wanted to know where it was at reference valves etc.
They saw it only once in 2011 for very minor work ! So none the wiser !!
Will have to take it in next year.
Also researching supply of rear mono shock , as it's non adjustable , it has seized adjustment , although damping still OK.

    cheers capt

Fitted lithium battery, same as the Kwak. Can both use the same trickle charger now. Treated myself to a pair of keis heated gloves. They can run off the charger lead.

Nice little cubby hole in the saved space from the battery. Might try and squeeze puncture repair kit in there....

Those batteries are light! Does it make much of a difference to the feeling of weight if the bike or is it not noticeable?

They do save around a kilo. But you would have to have pretty good feel to notice 1kg less off the weight of any bike!!.
