I've finally made the trip to the Peaks with the Thruxton R. Enough miles added for the first service on Wednesday and blown away by the ability of this bike. Super steering, ultra useable motor ( even when restricted to half revs)and great comfort and brakes. Enjoyed every mile!

I have the app. Apparently different features appear with different connectors.

This is the recommended one from tuneecu and its / they seems to be very specific which hardware works.Loads of comments on their forum about using one of the 3 they highlight.
    So I ordered this one.

Thank you all. This should save me a few quid.

  6. Just removed a non functional chain oiler, no idea what make it is, but it's not a scottoiler. Oh, and now i have 2 fully useable chain adjusters, i've tightened my chain :)

    Feck all!!!
as I am waiting for a Master cylinder for my bike to complete the brake upgrade.

But my son needed his FZ1S rescued from the parking field at
    "The Sausage and Cider festival",
(yes that is the correct title) after having a bit too much of one and Thankfully none of the other, I think?
So gave it a good blast on the way home and it is fast agile etc, but wished it was my Speedmaster:(

Need to get my bike into my van next week so made a thing this weekend. Will have to lower the wing mirrors as it's a bit of a tight fit. Haven't tried it yet but failing that, it'll have to go in my Sprint Shuttle trailer.

Also fully run-in now so been out all day using a bit more throttle. What a great bike! Went over to Motolegends and tried some Rokker jeans.

Thanks Wessa, I thought so too that's why I slipped it in. And thanks for the Rokker recommendation. I most certainly will now. :)

I have several pair of Rokkers (got them all on sale one way or another). I agree with Wessa--they are "ace" which is a new term to me but from the context I glean that means excellent?!

Took the bike to Aberdeen last night had a great run in. Frankie Boyle show. Very good only not a lot of new stuff.
Speed was faultless as usual. I came home in a downpour, ( not what was forecast) 50 miles in the. dark .The bikes lights are good much better than the Sprint I owned previously.

    Edit complete brown mouse story.

I now have a working bike back from dealer :)and they reckoned it was a loose battery connection, doh! That makes some kind of sense, I can imagine a not fully tight connection arcing with current surge from the starter motor resulting in a damaged contact area not electrically conductive enough to keep ECU happy (that's my theory, not dealers).

I'm not 100% convinced as when I asked the service desk to check with the technician they said it was the positive terminal, which is the one that is accessibleand I had checked that by hand wiggling to check it wasn't obviously loose. Still bike now works and the first thing I will try with any future problems like this is to remove battery, clean terminals and connectors, and tighten them up again good and proper.

I'm posting this mostly for posterity, and potentially for people to find via web searches if they have similar problems.
