Baglux tank cover arrived in the post today, they are a bit of a tight fit. Forks have been given to a mate who has got the right equipment to put the new seals in and put the fork oil in (instead of paying £50 for a tool to put the seals in myself) I can get this guy to do it for nothing (Honda Mechanic) It's all good :)

Over the last few weeks I have fitted a new chain and sprockets and carried out a complete service, Fitted a Scott oiler, Crash bungs, Heated grips, New carbon fibre indicators, mirrors and exhaust shields.
Been quite busy but bike is looking good just need some decent weather now to enjoy riding getting sick of being wet and cold. (The joys of biking)

Managed to do a deal with Motad Exhausts and get a Stainless Steel full 3 into 1 system for a bit over £200 delivered for the Trident
Will put on the 750 for a bit while I am trying to track down a replacement for the original left hand side exhaust and the will look finishing the CB 750 cafe project and selling that off to pay for either a 750 or 900 Trident that will be my next Cafe project and should hopefully end up something like these.

What did I do with my triumph today? Well I passed my test and then rode it :)

She was perfect! A bit different from the bike I've been learning on but I'm sure I will get used to her in time!

Then I spent 2 hours cleaning a ton of crap from it and I still think most of the crap is still on it somewhere!

HID kit came today. Really want to go out and fit it but the weather is miserable and need to get the tank off to hide the ballast away nicely. Can't wait to get them on and hopefully be able to see at night! :)

Took the Daytona for a run over the weekend when the roads were sort of dryish and the bike has now just ticked over 10000 miles.
Haven't done a lot to the Trident as trying to put the forks back in is a complete mongrel of a job so I am waiting on another set of hands to help out, but not asking the wife as that would most probaly end up in divorce proceedings

Just be careful at MOT time and if you ever get pulled by a knowledgeable traffic officer as HID on motorcycles may be illegal; they are also illegal on most vehicles that don't have adjustable headlights/suspension and some sort of headlamp washer system.

Section 1.7 of the attached gives the details and although there is nothing explicit relating to motorcycles it would be fair to assume that the requirement includes motorcycles.

    http://www.partinfo.co.uk/files/MOT Changes - Lighting.pdf

    Worth double checking....

The chance of running into even a traffic officer that knows about this is actually quite slim, only ones that are vehicle inspectors may start asking questions and then they may not be too worried the worst you would get I'd say would be a VDRS (vehicle defect rectifaction scheme) which is just a retest at a testing station.
Although you have to be a bit careful in Hampshire as there are a couple of right evil mongrels that spend their weekends around loomies cafe.
