I’d be a crotch inspector of the ladies in the babes and bikes thread...

But only if the titty inspector role had already been taken.

The accountants phrase is "cost-benefit-analysis" it is cheaper to buy new in bulk than to employ a person 40 hours / week to clean, inspect and log the source and destination of each returned item.
Rehabilitation Worldwide (my charity) collects almost all external aids for people with disabilities from shoes to the bump caps that cerebral palsy sufferers need and every thing in between from hospitals, clinics, manufacturers and individuals.
The equipment is sorted, boxed and stored in a warehouse in Mansfield, Notts. until a partner charity National Police Aid Charity has a 40 foot container going to a hospital in (at the moment) sub Saharan Africa when we "piggy back in their container to send whatever is needed at that destination.
I sent 45 boxes of assorted equipment plus Zimmers, crutches and wheelchairs to Lusaka,Zambia in early May and 6 boxes and again wheelchairs Zimmers, crutches and Thomas Splints to Malawi a week ago.
The collecting donations is ruled by the same "C.B.A." as hospitals, a forty mile ride for a pair of crutches is not on but to borrow a Transit for a ton of equipment definitely is.

OMG we have some interesting and amazing people in the community. I’m disabled and being an engineer would like to design something like the forest gump leg brace but with style...

At least someone somewhere is benefiting from our wasteful culture.

    Keep up the good work!

My pet hate at the moment is companies/councils that charge cripples premiums car parking rates to use disabled parking near to the entrances of railway stations etc.

I can’t afford £16 a day to park in the disabled bays so have to use stations further out where I can park and not walk far.

Pic one, I'd taken the bike out of the shed and parked it at the back of my house ready to leave, light/instruments in the "out of the factory" position, pic 2, taken on my return, very wet, and that was taken parked in front my shed with the lowered lights/instruments thanks to the new street triple bracket.

That about all I did today, went out in the pissing rain yesterday and put mine through the MOT and had a couple of tyres fitted, came home washed it, put it away, and sadly that’s where it’s likely to stay until the weather clears up.

I did years of commuting, I’ve done my fair share of riding in shite weather, I certainly don’t do it for pleasure.

Changed out the Hagon's on my Speedmaster with a set of IKON 7610 SP16 I bagged off ebay for not a lot, one had a bashed top cover pulled it off straightened it up and repainted.

So now got a set of Hagon's 2810 with 10 way damper adjust, 330 mm lifted the speedmaster 10mm, looking for a new home

Great to know that what the NHS rate as unusable goes to the needy in some not well off countries.

Regular group ride down to a rural tavern that had an $18k hunting competition. Boars and Deer for the adults, possums and eels for the children.
    A sight to be seen.

Back in Port Hedland WA. The days ride was so much better than yesterday, cooler by 6°c at least . Was 35° or more yesterday and today topped out at 26/28 maybe. We are in the same campsite and got the bay diagonally next to where we were on the trip N 15608501713421617534849.jpg
We were behind the tree to the upper left last time.
Tomorrow's ride is to Karratha, territory I have seen in my Army Driver days, stores run from Perth, but Brenda hasn't, so we will have to look around.

    Cheers Mick Brenda capt

Oh and I think I have a good idea on what causes the gear selector seal to pop out ! It almost did it again this morning. We got 10 klms out of Roebuck and had to stop because we thought we'd misplaced or lost something. When we stopped the seal had moved , because I switched the motor off, I think the breather might be dirty and partially blocked , engine was only just getting warmed up, Is there a valve in there somewhere ?? To stop back flow ??

Following my trip on the LT last week I pulled the speed twin out the garage for a spin around the Cheshire country side. Boy after the LT how light and nimble is this bike. I had a ball for a couple of hours, it is good to be home..,

Picked my Speedmaster up today from my 'local' dealers where it had been for three weeks getting it's immobilizer problem sorted. I can tell you I was getting serious withdrawal symptoms! Only consolation was that we've been having pretty crap weather recently so don't feel like I've missed out on a lot of good riding. Time to make up for that now :)

Your trip looks awesome... I did a similar trip a few years ago and stayed in Agen overnight. There is a massive truck stop in Agen where the food and drinks are brilliant, if you get a chance it is well worth a visit.
