Brought some more parts for the Trident from Ivan at National Triumph in Wolverhampton, all I have left to buy is the front mudguard, LH mirror and a radiator cowl which I will buy new in the new year.

Daytona is finished so it has been covered up for the winter and will put the new battery in it when spring turns up.

Going to get the wheels on the Trident Powder coated while I have the bike in bits.

Also hoping to get the Honda CB750 cafe racer cut and welded ready for powder coating in the new year..... once I get the trident sorted.

Radiator, Indicators and Front Light replaced, feels a lot better once you start putting stuff back on the bike.

This repair job on the Trident is really starting to do my head in

Pullled the front forks apart today after a great deal of swearing as well as the replacement forks which are the same but must be an earlier model as none of the nuts and bolts are the same size and to top it off one of the stauctions has a bloody great gouge in it that I missed when I picked it up so back to trawling E Bay for another set of feckin forks.

Unlocked mancave, started bike, let it idle for 10 minutes, switched off bike, locked up mancave. That is all.

Changed the Battery on the Daytona ( It even fits) and started the bike which seems an improvement on the old battery.

did a bit more work on the Trident and ended up getting cold and yelled at by the missus (no change there then)

got the rest of the year off so will get some more stuff done on the bike while I can

Fitted Scorpion can to the Speed and ASV's to both the Speed and Street. Just need to decide if the baffle should stay or go.....?

Took baffle out before I fitted the can just not had time to run it yet, hopefully tomorrow. Have to say my preference is out but we had a Hornet with a Akrapovic gp pipe and that was just too loud and close to being painful without the baffle

Baffles are for MOT's nothing else

My car had serious MOT failure so ended up trading it in for another one, my credit card has just taken a hammering
Still need to buy a decent pair of front forks for the Trident and then I'm almost there.

You defo need ear plugs with baffle out, on a long ride you get a headache. I don't know if it's me but my fuel consumption seemed worse with baffle out !

it's you... you open it up more to get the sound and hang onto the revs to get the popping on the over run... mine has a custom map and I get 45+mpg. . no issues

Had a bit of a spend and brought a new set of brake pads for the Daytona and a set of front forks, front wheel, front mudguard radiator cowl and a baglux tank cover (to cover the dent in the tank)

Just need to find a decent exhaust and I'm more or less there, apart from getting the wheels powder coated.it

Will have a look at the cost but it has still cost a lot less than the insurance payout.

Looking foward to getting it back on the road then I can get back to working on my cafe racer.

Also got to go and have a look at some bikes for a chap who wants to sell them (about a dozen) mainly Kawasaki K1300's and Suzuki GT750's but maybe a Z1 as well. will put an update on tomorrow on how I get on.

    Cheers

    Stephen
