Great run round a large part of the North Norfolk coast today and ended up at sunny hunny (again). Great run and not a lot of traffic which surprised me. No pictures, but the coming week looks set fair, so will be out every day. Great being retired innit:)

Took the back roads up to Pitlochry and "The House of Bruar" just past Blair Atholl..(if you are on the A9 it's about 10 miles north of Pitlochry) it is a massive place and has everything, didn't buy anything as you are into Harrods territory :dizzy: The restaurant is reasonable though so had Tea and a cake:yum

Went to Morrisons in the car this morning. I'd only gone 100 yards when I saw a nice Aprilla cruise by in the sunshine, sounded fantastic. Saw loads more bikes on the way to and from the shop so I decided when I got back I'd go out for a ride. Hard choice though, Bandit or Street Triple. I took the Striple. Lovely ride out, here's some pics.

Went to Port Solent with some of my Harley riding mates. Here's a picture of them.

    Yesterday :-

Took the Speed down to Tivvy Grand Western Canal Basin where the annual Spirit of the Sixties run was scheduled to meet for the lunch stop. I have to say that there are, IMHO, far too many modern bikes of all kinds on the run. Time was they would only expect bikes built between the late fifties and early seventies to participate but I guess that's a bit too restrictive these days.

Some pictures of some of the bikes taking part :-

    And a few more ...

The TRIUMPH Rocket 3 wasn't actually riding as part of the rally group. It had the most subtle of airbrush paint jobs - from a distance of more than a few feet it looked like it was just a nice "smoke" effect red and black colour scheme but close up and in the sunlight there were "hidden" airbrushed images of devils, demons and monsters, etc. It was just stunning - the VRN was something like R111 EVL - and very nicely done. Unfortunately the reflections and a pretty crappy phone camera meant I couldn't really capture a realistic and revealing image. Almost at the other end of the artisitc scale, the little Kawasaki thing done up to look like a US military machine was very much a homespun take on customisation. Each to their own and credit to the owner for effort .... but I know which I'd rather ride home!

While sitting on the green having a coffee in sunny hunny yesterday a guy parked a couple of bikes up from me was getting ready to leave. Now here's the thing. He only had one arm. His right arm was completely whithered. He had no throttle or brake on the right bar at all. Foot brake usual place. Left bar, throttle, brake and clutch. He had to wrap a velcro strap around the withered hand and round the grip to keep it in place. He went off at a rate of knots that Rossi would have been proud off. Do not know if anyone else here has come across him on their runs out but what a guy.

Stopped at Loch Lomond for a quick pic before heading up for breakfast at the Green Welly, then up to the commando memorial and then a lap of Loch Ness. Weather is glorious this afternoon.

A couple more pics. The picture of the plane was taken by the graveyard where Aleister Crowley is supposed to have done some of his satanic rituals.
