Yeah, house rad - clogged up and can't flush it out so fitted a new one - also the boiler has been on lockout due to low pressure every morning for the last week - its bloody cold in the garage at 5.15am re-pressurising the bugger!

Took the Daytona out for a run to Loomies yesterday, bike went well but bloody brass monkeys on the way home. :frown:

Just got my settlement figure for the Trident which will more than cover the cost of replacement parts so its all good

Front forks and radiator taken off of the Trident they do look a bit bent but will try and make one good set of forks out of two.

Just ordered some new braided hoses for the Trident as well (seems rude not to whilst the thing is in bits)

I have also heard a rumour that Triumph UK maybe selling older parts to dealers at a discount rate in the new year. I will make some enquiries with my parts man and get back to you guys to confirm this.

Finally found myself the time to get my America fixed....

Heavy misfire caused by intermittent lack of spark at left cylinder. Time consuming but piss easy repair. Remove pillion seat, remove leather bags, remove riders seat, remove fuel tank.
I traced the fault back to a dodgy coil pack. Fitted a new coil pack for the left cylinder, pair of new HT leads, pair of new NGK plug caps & spark plugs, re-assembled & hey presto!

Starts nicely now & no misfire. Revs nicely through the rev range, didnt take it out for a test ride as my neck & back are still sore after my accident back in October but im pretty convinced its all sorted.... Happy days! View attachment 2581

Cool, Did you replace the HT leads and coil on just the left or both, because if it was the HT leads you can just about bet that the other ones will go after the first time you ride it.

Just been cleaning the bits you cannot usually get behind the radiator before I but it back on this afternoon.

I have no idea - the Prestatyn Rotarians have pledged £1,000 to us from their Christmas collection so I just went to help out as a bit of a thank you. (So I guess the answer is £1,000, when I think about it). x

Sounds fine P19DGJ most of the time buggered plugs wreck coils in very quick time

Just spent 50 feckin quid on a decent battery for the Daytona, one of these all singing all dancing yellow ones as the Daytona starts first time from cold if I charge it for about 10 minutes but if you leave it a day it's a no go.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Daytona-1000-998cc-Four-Cylinder-1991-CT14-A2-Motobatt-Motorcycle-Battery-/300787391437?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item4608535bcd

Brought some proper lighting for the garage so I can actually see what I'm doing without have to use a wind up torch all the time.

Also saw this on E Bay which looks ok, apart from the fact I have no more room in the garage and I think the missus would kill me if another bike turned up

Honda, Triumph and KTM, shelves and a truckload of other stuff at my new garage downstairs. Still a heck of a mess, the brown boxes on the left holds new chairs for our dining room table, the boiler room (door at the back) needs to be emptied and turned into a workshop (tables, shelves etc.) at least the most important part of the shop is already in place: a fridge full of beer

I received a letter from the customs yesterday that the new tail has arrived and is awaiting for me to pay the VAT which I`ll be doing tomorrow so I`m expecting it to come sometime next week.
