Finally managed to get out of the new Tiger yesterday, couldn't tell too much as 3,500rpm running in is a tad slow......
Not sure about the std tyres, felt a little edgy in on the damp patches but I'll wait until the miles and speeds go up a bit before deciding.
But it was nice to get out on a bike again.:)

I knew a lad when I was younger who joined the navy and was on the Sir Galahad when it was hit, sadly he lost his life, also worked with a guy who'd been a musician in the Army and was on the bus that the IRA blew up, all his mates around him perished but he was lucky that day, sorry, I'm very grim here : unamused:

My quest for a new bike continued today, and has now been concluded..
Had a run into Manchester (Hunts Honda) for test ride on a CB1100RS and then scooted along the M56 to Chester to have another look at a Speed Twin and Thruxton R. The CB11 was ok, but just like the Royal Enfield 650 continental GT lacked something, can't put my finger on it; both were ok but IMHO lacked any real character. I test road the Z900RS on Wednesday, very accomplished bike, but I discounted this based on it being a little skittish in the lower gears.
So had a hard look at both triumph's and had an extremely difficult decision to make , eventually took the plunge and ordered a silver speed twin. Now looking forward to it arriving in my garage in March.

Nice choice, I doubt I'll be alone in saying that I'd be interested to hear your opinion of the bike after you've had it a little while, have fun and pics please :p

Today I pulled the bikes out and polished them ready for the better weather. Had a great day. I love sitting there and mainly elder Gents and Ladies come past and say is that a Triumph. I remember when I had mine didn't know they were still making bikes. Some of the chats I have are fantastic. Delving back into the bygone and things like the Ace Café and Chelsea bridge.
    Regards
    Joe.

Good clean and removal of all the bugs from the last weekends epic ride. Fitted a booster plug and looked at bar ends, but found they are setup for mirrors so may have to cut to fit??

My original plan was to have the three, but my local delaer offered such a good trade price for my speedmaster I decided to trade it. Sorry to see it go but I still have a cruiser and as my wife keeps telling me, you can only ride one at a time...... I will be taking the Dart screen and brown saddle of the bike before it goes back. This leaves me with the Thunderbird LT for touring and the Speed Twin for messing around on.

Did the 12k valve check on my 2007 Speedmaster:
2 exhaust ( 0.33 on both) on same cylinder RH and 1 inlet( 0.22) LH out of spec,
£10 for swaps at local Shop- Chadwell Motorcycles- Thanks guys.

New cover and bolt seals all ready to go.
