I still can’t believe you rescued the bike from a salvage yard Ron, it’s looking fabulous. I’ve been following the thread as you know but I was curious, have you totted up what it’s cost you to get it looking like that? If that’s a bit cheeky and you don’t want to share that info or if I have missed it I apologise.

Ron, that is looking ABSO LOOTLY 'KIN BEE YOOTIFUL!! You have done a first class job of holding your shit together and getting that bike back together to such a high standard. I'm so glad that I contributed some encouragement to convince you that it was THE project for you! Another Mk 1 ST lives! You should be rightly proud of yourself.

    Well done.

p.s. can't wait to get my fireball home - just got to get the wife out of the house for a couple of days, and some dry weather!

My new mudguard and bracket arrived on Friday, after a 3 month wait, so I fitted it this morning then decided to just ride around the block to check it was ok, I think I got a bit disorientated as I ended up doing 76 miles lol, I'm absolutely freezing cos, like a daft cnut, I just went in my casual gear with a helmet.

Could it be Scarlett Johansson's butt plug, and I'd just take a wild guess as to where it goes.

Ride, Wash and ACF50 for my 765rs. As soon as I saw the torrential rain washing the salt from the roads the other day I had a feeling this weekend had potential

So I went to I feckin KEA to fetch some mirror. At home it transpires some bits are missing. So I volunteer to go back on the bike to fetch those. No joy. "Not in stock sir". They've got a whole bloody shop full of them! Then of course on the way home I was chucked upon... Upside: I now know my new jacket and boots are waterproof...

Talking of salt on the roads, now that it gets dark later and the gritters are turning up when it is still daylight, I have noticed that we seem to have the same lorry each time. No, I'm not being over observant. It's just that the local council have given them names. Ours is called 'Spreddy Mercury'.:grinning:

    SIGH!

It didn't break at the mudguard, it was the other end of the bracket where it fastens onto the trike that broke, the damage to the mudguard was done when it went under the wheel, the new bracket has been strengthened by adding 2 V shaped pieces of steel on it.
