Got the Speedy back last night after she'd been on the Dyno yesterday, apparently the guy doing her said the mapping was all over the place, the readout looked like the efforts of a drunkard on an Etch-a-sketch, she's been remapped and will run much better and smoother, started off at 123bhp, now running at 138bhp with a 22bhp increase in the midrange and crisp response off the throttle and at low speeds, can't wait to put her to the test, will have to wait until Monday though o_O

With those Marzochi's it didn't matter, as there was a diaphragm with up to 10/12 psi air pressure to keep the oil in the ports/body of the shock ! They were good in their day !!

Sitting at the side of the road with a broken rear mudguard bracket, I waited nearly four hours for the RAC to turn up then he didn't know how to load it on his truck, I offered to ride it up the ramp but he said he would be sacked if he let me. then he wanted to fasten his winch to the front forks but I wasn't happy about that, so after four attempts with some contraption that kept coming off the front wheel he finally got it on the truck, It's been a really shit day.now I've got to find one of these.

I need to take the other side off to get the measurements, a friend tried to weld it and made a right bollocks of it.

Bloody doing nothing on the bike..... Just back from a very warm holiday cruising the Canaries and it is p@ssing down with rain here at the moment. Was hoping for a ride today; not been on the bike for a couple of weeks. Does not look any better tomorrow either. Fed up in Cheshire.....

Just curious, who makes the side covers on your bike? I know British Customs has some that seem to be flat by the look of their pictures, but yours look to have a bit of a curve or dome to them.

I managed to get a new plate made and welded on by a bike lad in the village who;s a dab hand at anything mechanical, it's fitted back on and I'm back on the road, and a big thank you Dilli for the offer, cheers mate.

On Friday I set off early and rode it right up the West coast of Scotland until I ran out of land.

On Saturday I turned around and came back down a slightly different route.

790 miles in total. Love this bike

Thanks Andy. Yes XRT in Cranberry red (I think)

I like an overnight stopover up North at least once a year....it's good for my soul seeing how nice that part of Scotland is compared to where I live.

The Ben Loyal Hotel, Tongue. I’ve used that one about half a dozen times now when I do this run because to be honest, after Tongue I’m bored with the NC500. I just like to turn around and head back down the way I came up.

Went to the bike show in Wimbotsham today and it was rammed. Not a bit of the village did not have bike on it. Some great bikes and a fly past by a Spitfire.

Just back from a ride to West Bay and back along the Jurassic coast road, testing the Speedy out after last weeks remap, changes are quite subtle but noticeable, better throttle response at low revs and smoother through the rev range, a bit more grunt mid range too, well worth getting it done :p
