Prepped the T100, new front tyre and fitted some fork gaiters, cleaned and lubed the chain , polished the shiny bits all ready for the MOT.

One tight spot, probably from standing... much looser now, but it’s a riveted chain, not split link, so it’s not an easy job to fully degrease as I don’t have a chain tool (yet)... and as it looks like a keeper now, I’m quite happy to start over with chain n sprockets.

Just come back from a 120 kms rideout. Blue skies all the way, sun shining away like a good 'un, a little fresh starting out at 8° but returning it was 13° so not too bad.

And no, no claims of a miracle, just another ordinary day in a European country :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:kissing_heart:

Dropped it in for a service at Triumph Newcastle last week. Great service from the guys and a nice stamp in my book.

Since I got the bike I’ve added the Triumph aftermarket brake pots, Oxford heated grips, carbon seat hump, anodised brake levers and tyre valve pressure alert caps.

Cleaned and serviced front and rear brakes on my '16 Speed triple
The rear wheel nut was so tight it took all of my 16 stone weight to free it, was last tightened up on its 12k mile service a couple of months ago.
All the brake pads needed the crud scraping from the grooves, used a toothbrush and brake cleaner to get rid of all the dust n crap.
I exposed the pots a bit and got rid of the crud along there, and gave all the bits a neat coat of copper grease.

Also detached the rear caliper from its mountings and held it high - above the master cylinder and brake line routing for a while, got rid of any residue air so a bit less spongy.

Rode it today and the brakes are so responsive, almost like brand new.

Also sewed in new valcro on my Triumph Explorer jacket as the original stuff had just turned to fluff

Stuck a Bridgestone BT023 on the rear (cheers Gary), then took it for a pleasant 30 mile wander, puddle dodging! Just spent the last cuppa tea time washing the high sodium content crap off all the nooks n crannies.

I've got BT023's on my 1250 Bandit and i've been very pleased with their performance although I don't push it. They seem very good in the wet. However, i've ordered a pair of PR4's today to set me up for the Forum Scottish Rideout, the 2018 GMU and the Forum International.
That's assuming I use the Bandit for all three events. I'm not sure what will be replacing my America yet.
