    I prefer a 15 year old one...
Glenlivet oak smoked to be precise.

But the other half, who is a Cardiffian, swears by Penderryn, or maybe that's swears after Penderryn, but either way she likes it.

Be careful where you say that and make sure everyone knows you're talking about booze as it might get you arrested.

I used to use Cokin filters - in fact I still have some, but sadly not the cameras they went with.
This photo was taken on my phone and the effect was added in about 20 seconds with a free app called Snapseed.
    How the world has changed!

just installed snapseed onto my phone, and can't believe how easy it is to work:)..it has transfered some of my average photos into looking like something David bailey would be proud of :p..mind you i very rarely use my phone for taking photos..pity they don't do a free version for my laptop:rolleyes:

No problem - I only found out about it as one of those suggested pop ups on Facebook. There are lots of adjustments you can make and the good thing about it is that it saves your last edit as a ready made style for your next photo.

^^ Thank you DD. Yes they go on top of the OEM covers acting as an engine case protector :)

After dreading it for quite a few months (and watching endless YouTube videos), I finally got around to checking my valve clearances (well not mine, Panda's!), for its 12000 miles.

    IMG_3657.JPG

In the end it was surprisingly straightforward. The supposedly really hard to get valve cover came off after about 4 taps with a rubber mallet. Spinning the cams with the back wheel was a bit rough, but doable.

Everything to spec, but only just (3 out of 4 exhaust valves with .30mm, which is at the top end of the allowed clearance). So my question is, do I just ride happily and wait until they're out of spec at 20000 miles? Do I replace them now? Do I recheck in about 5000 miles?

(seals were in an impeccable state, so I didn't change them, even though I had the spares)

In spec is in spec. They are specified to last till next check, if in spec now.
    So, you dont need to.
    Do you want to?

    I agree with @Sprinter :)
If they’re in spec then leave them alone :) chances are they’ll be in spec at 20k as well :)
If valve clearance’s do anything at all they tend to get smaller
This is down to the valve wearing slightly into the valve seat so going by what you’ve found put it back together and relax you’ve got nothing to worry about :grinning:
More important to do the oil changes on time :p

Well the sun was out and I had the choice: clean the bike or go for a spin!!
80 miles later I knew I’d made the right decision

new on here; trying to improve a 1997 T595 Daytona fitted with a probable 2003 daytona 955 engine.
bike has riser bars and bar end mirrors to be fitted. am considering suspension improvements - any ideas or recommendations? had thought of putting the front end of a 1050 speed triple R onto the daytona.
with time I want to bring the bike upto scratch; a few panels can do with repainting etc............of course its the classic yellow T595 paintjob...
