Finally got a semi decent day for a ride. Not been on the bikes since getting back from holiday, so gave the street twin a run around the Cheshire lanes. Roads very wet and loads of leaves waiting to trip me up. Still things definitely improved with the roads drying out well; leaves still provided a few little moments.

Well I decided to change the position of my sat nav mount to the inside of the metal plate, rather than the outside where I thought it might be interfering with airflow, on the madstrad screen. It is still clear of the clocks but a bit closer to me so not quite as in focus as before but manageable.

Oh, of course I had to test it out, went for a quick spin round the block and ended up at whiteways!! Do these satnavs work??? Discovered some new roads to ride on as well!!

Found this down there as well

Time to ditch the sports tyres and get yourself some sport touring tyres Andy;)..looks as if the new speed triple is going through brake pads quicker than the old model,i'm still on the original pads

Bloody hell !! you must be pushing that bike hard
I got 6,000 on the first set of Pirellies (changed due to puncture in the rear, still had about 1,000 on it) and now on Michellin Road Pilot 4. Just gone over 7,500 miles, and will be changing the brake pads myself this weekend.

Decided it was time to refurbish my 2005 T100 which was starting to look tatty - frame and mudguards mostly.
Front mudguard put up a good fight but the rear went kamikaze and all three tail light bolts sheared ........ The mudguards were actually worse than I realised. My local paintshop smiled and said if it ain’t concours get thee to a coater of powder........
Maybe I could get into the rat bike look.......or maybe not.......

Been at the cop shop first thing this morning reporting the damage some hit 'n run cager cnut did to my Street Twin yesterday. $h!t for brains drove his KIA round the back of work, realised he'd gone wrong, reversed in to my bike and pushed it right over. Then drove back out and fecked right off without saying a word, but not so fast that the CCTV couldn't read his number plate (did a check and it's taxed and insured). Broken wing mirror, knacked bar end finisher, scraped and broken bits of pegs and brake pedal, scraped engine cover, scuffed back of the V&H (the end bit that looks like it can be replaced, but God knows at what cost). And the handle bar isn't now aligned correctly which will get inspected at work tomorrow when it isn't too busy, or Monday latest - hopefully nothing serious. What a bollock. It's times like this you're thankful you've got four other bikes to choose from if this one goes off the road for a bit.
