Took the Thruxton to the beach!

 

Went to Brighton yesterday on Doris some weird and wonderful stuff to keep you entertained as you walk down the drive

 

Not so good Reggie......they take gorilla warfare to another level! 'Black ice' got me some years back on Ravelston dykes,two of them hiding behind a tree wi' a hairdrier,two bikes behind a bigger tree neatly angled so you couldn't see them lessons are learned tho'..carry a chainsaw

 

My three points from last year's speeding ticket didn't make any difference with Bennetts - I asked them and they said with one no but if you get two it might.

 

Lovely run down to Maastricht yesterday
avoiding motorways - tree lined roads with a canal one side and a man walking two pigs on leads on the other (I kid you not!)



As with my trip last year, the centre was closed to traffic for a festival! Managed to sneak the Tiger in anyway and then realised I was parked in the same street we had stayed in last time.

Spent some time at this bar by the river

But avoided the strong beers!

Finally got around to servicing the rear caliper and fitting the new brake hose. Just waiting on some new pads and the can hanger so as to remove the rear foot pegs.

 

Back from the Netherlands tour (last night - bloody hell it's cold here!)
Short stop in France before Calais - very discreet picture of the bike as the place was packed with fully armed, bullet-proof vest wearing Police Nationale. (Only stopped for their lunch I think, not to arrest me)

 

Bleeding brakes, just BLEEDING brakes!
You all know the issue, getting the bloody air out.

 

We've all been there! I had success on the Bonnie when all else had seemingly failed by bleeding from the banjo connection at the master cylinder. Loads of air trapped there - you should see lots of small bubbles.Took a few goes but worked a treat. .

 

I think the secret is wetting all the parts inside before assembly, this stops the bubbles adhering to the dry walls and allowing the fluid to pass over them

 

Can,t remember if it was this thread or another, but here is my GMU tee shirt in Croatia. Hotel is in Cavtat just south of Debrovnik, beautiful location and very hot. Loads of bikers here and the roads look amazing. I think I might sort out a trip on the bike this way next year. Sorry about picture, wifey not the best with a camera.

Cannot fault the Tiger and have enjoyed riding round on it over the last two weeks but have missed this!
