Cheers mate - hopefully just the trip over so not the end of the world. I felt more sorry for the two lads in my compartment on an old Ninja and a Daytona in camouflage cargo pants and leather jackets!

Cheers mate - the other half was in the car and hated it. She complained about the amount of spray and how many lorries there were. (Did she think that I didn't notice!)
It was three lanes solid at points - HGV's as far as you could see. I stopped filtering when the panniers started rubbing along the sides! Also the road was covered in spilt diesel - it was like an ice rink when you out your foot down.

I was going to go out on the Triumph yesterday but ended up going out on the Honda. I'm not sure I've mentioned my recent acquisition?

A couple of weeks ago I went with a mate to Honda, he was getting his Africa Twin serviced while we had a ride on a couple of demo bikes. I ended up on a mid range bike, an NC750X with a DCT gearbox, dual clutch flappy paddle job, and I really enjoyed it.

As a result I had a look on fleabay and saw a really nice one, not quite three years old with only 3600 miles and all the extras, heated grips, DCT, touring screen, full Honda luggage etc. I put in a really cheeky offer and promptly forgot about it. Two days later, last Monday I was on a train to somewhere near Frome to pick it up.

While drinking my first coffee yesterday I was catching up with this and Honda forum and discovered that they were having a ride out and meet up for lunch in the Cotswolds so off I went.

Not today, but yesterday. Change of fork oil and seals which became only change of fork oil, because they definitely used an air gun to tighten the dampening rods at the factory / seller. Impossible to crack them open.

The seals look good, anyway. I'll try again in 4 years! :D

I don't have one. Tried with a breaker bar, but it just wouldn't bulge (it's also really hard to keep the damn fork from not rotating). On hindsight, I could have tried a penetrating oil on the nut, that would probably have helped. But given that the bike is 5 years old, and for the last 3 years (since I've had it) it never had any fork oil leaks, I reckon it will hold.

EDIT: I do have one (I though you meant an air gun), but it's nowhere powerful enough for that sort of thing (it's one of those low torque cordless Bosch things, good for drilling but not much else).

They need cracking open while the fork legs are still held in the yokes, (perfect clamping)
Anyway if they are okay, leave well alone.
Have you upgraded the springs to progressive Mischa ?
