Yesterday on the T120 Black - Nottingham to Llangollen via Stoke/Whitchurch/Ellesmere. A ride on the steam railway there, then onto Betws-y-Coed, a stop to inspect Swallow Falls, then tea in Bedgellart, a ride to Llanberis and back along the pass, then back to Nottingham the way I came. The A5 between Llangollen and Betws is a great road when quiet (as it was yesterday). Some good twisties either end and long straights in between.
Well, she's gone. After a hiccup with the engine light (because the battery went flat), her new owner rode off into the distance a couple of hours ago. Now to decide what to buy next. It'll be aircooled and not a sportbike.
I like the idea of a Bonne, but the one's I've seen are out of my prospective price range. Right now, I'm probably looking to get another Guzzi California, like one I've had before. Or I may wait till the end of the trackday season, sell my R6 as well, and look at a classic racing Triumph or Guzzi then. I don't want to rush into a decision. Did that before and always regretted it.
Rode to work... chilled, Got to work... 10hrs of shite, Rode home again... chilled! I was so in tune with myself that I even washed the bike, without having procrastinated about any other little job I should do! Shiny Trumpet...
Took a run up to Braemar tonight,i love that road they are busy resurfacing parts of the road so once they are finished it will be even better
Taking Tracey to wuh....wer....that that can't be named, down Southampton so the obligatory stop had to be made!!
Hi all, Tother day, I did this. One on each side of the belly pan. Not normally a sticker kinda fella, but it's subtle enough for me. (If ya can call giving the "bird" subtle) Atb Bob
Nothing Seems Triumph's definition of "in stock" is different to mine. The T100 I ordered a month ago that my dealer suggested I'd get by late June will now be only just in June. He now thinks it's probably still in a container on the sea somewhere so we both agreed "in stock" was garbage. What's gutting is I know the next nearest dealer had one on their showroom floor so I could have been riding one for three weeks by now.
That is a real bummer, just goes to show the benefits of having a shop around. Hope you get your new ride soon. Wessa
Took advantage of the longest day and the fact that I had two new tyres (Bridgestones instead of the stock Metzelers). Run down through the Meon Valley to Mick's Burger Van on Portsdown Hill and a long way back home calling in at Loomies for a late cuppa - 9.45pm - and then home. New goggles are brilliant - made me realise how bad the old ones are!
Nice pics Steve, you're obviously really enjoying your 'stable' of Triumphs. It's already nearly 30° here -
Had a great ride back from Southampton last night, around 11pm, up the a32 to a31 then Guildford way. Hardly another car to be seen lovely temp, could ride at 60 with visor up. Loomies was shut, sign on door said" last tea bag sold to bonnie owner" A beautiful night!!
Strictly speaking, not a Triumph, But I did take my Bandit 12 in to Bulldog Triumph for it's MOT today. Passed no problem, but a bit embarrassing at only having done 400 miles on it in a year !
Out again but work this time. Still working at the job in Over Wallop, so round the corner to the Apache cafe at Middle Wallop for lunch. Look, I parked next to a BMW and another bike!
