Featured What you been doing with your TRIUMPH today??

Got back from the steel island out in the north sea. Had a couple of hours to kill. Thought about getting speedy out and giving her a good wash. Like what Ive been reading (Spanky). I even bought some of that muck off wash stuff. Found the polish at the back of the shelf. Was about to get started on a proper wash and clean. Then I thought fuck it, its not that dirty! Went for a 2 hour ride towards a seaside town called Blåvand, there are some good twisty roads with very few police. Ended up doing about 150 kilometers. Now its dirty, got dead flys all over it. Made a cup of coffee and just looked at it, feeling glad I didnt waste a good afternoon cleaning. Maybe I can clean another day:tongue: Especially now I can see it needs a clean....

Took a 300 kilometer trip. Killed a shit load of flys :tongue:
Did 225 klms then filled her up with 13.4 litres, had an average speed of 130....
A good day!!

 

If you were full of fuel when you started thats 46.3 mpg. Good going!

 

Yeah, filled up at the start, sat on the motorway at 130 kmh. The light didnt even come on, so there was still a bit left. So a good range for a tank full.
Have seen on other forums when people try to work the milage out, it ranges from 30 mpg to 50 mpg. But I think anywhere around 40 mpg is ok, especially on the motorway.

I used to get 55+ on the motorway but saw it drop to about 35 when 'playing'.

 

46 mpg seems to be about the same as I was getting on a spirited run...

I seem to detect some animosity from you BA. That's not what the banter on this forum is about. It's supposed to be a place where we can talk serious stuff and crap but in a good-natured way.
