The RS was on my list. I settled for a slightly more relaxed Speed Triple.

    Enjoy!

Was out and about this morning.

Still quite chilly. 5 Deg. C.
Had a nice MuffinSausage&Egg (did I tell you that I do not mind dropping by in one of these oh so disgraced fast food chains? It is like with cell phones: just don't get addicted and they come in handy.
And the coffee is not bad. AND I can see my bike and scare away the little boys drooling on it.
Just kidding, I was drooling too at that age... ...and will be again, one day, I guess )

So my motto for April this year: "How about a little global warming?" :D

Was out at the crack of dawn myself though for me that's 10:20, after doing myself bacon, sausage, black pudding, egg, tomato, toast and tea. Even had a shower ! Been out round the Forest of Bowland. Lovely.

.....with the weather forecasters telling of snow and the next 'Ice Age' arriving next week.......I thought I'd take advantage of today's balmy sunshine to get the last 150 miles needed for the Bobbers 500 mile/first service in....

....headed off south and finally ended up at Lymington for a pasty and a pint.

Lymington was rammed with people......and hardly a space to park up on the quay for a bike, let alone a car!.......anyway found a space.....more importantly found a beer and a pasty.....and sat in the sun to enjoy both.....

.....now, on the way down, I saw a lot of bikers out enjoying the day.....but I did not see one sportsbike until I was sat on a wall, on the quay, enjoying my pasty and pint......two young lads, both on Suzuki's, fairings carrying more adverts than a Premier League footballers shirt.......arrive, ride round the car park twice looking for a space......no joy......so they pull up and park on the pavement.......one blocks the access to the car park ticket machine!.......the other blocks the entrance to the ladies public toilets!!!......way to go lads......thanks for the good publicity you got for motorcyclists today......

.......anyway, on the way home, 500 clicked up, the 'spanner' appeared on the mileometer and it's already booked in for the service on 2nd May.........result....

.....who bloody cares if there is a foot of snow next week now!......

Been for charity ride today. It was the annual St Lukes Hospice run from Winsford to Sandbach in Cheshire. There were 450 bikes turned out of all shapes and sizes. Met up with a couple of old work colleagues who I've not seen for over ten years, brilliant. The sun was shining, couple of pints listening to the various bands in the square and a walk around the transport festival. All in all a great day out. DSC07795.JPG
Picture is at the marshalling point before we set off.

    Hi Wessa,

.....that's a cracking looking bike......I love that colour combo.....indeed seeing that colour mix 'in the flesh' was the catalyst for my ownership of a LT.

.....I called into the local Triumph Dealers three weeks ago and saw a brand new LT in that colour.....I was just stood there, dumb struck......sales guy 'slides' over....'can I help you sir?'......rubbing his hands together and with that 'Smegal' grin on his face, just sensing a lamb to the slaughter.....

.....'OK' I say.....'give me a price to px my Thruxton 12, 850 miles on the clock, with extras and in immaculate condition'........

.....'that'll just be six big ones to change sir!'.......well, my desire for that bike hit the floor quicker than a bucket of iced water poured over an erection!......

....but that kick-back motivated me to search the web high and low for a good S/H option.....sadly could not find the Black and White object of my desire in my price range but I did find a Blue and White with less than 1800 miles on the clock and for well less than two grand plus the Thrux and it was mine.........

    Cheers,

    Decided to go to Paris.
Well that's not quite true (well it is but bear with me). What I mean is that it was planned with me and my mate going to Paris to see Bath in the European Challenge semi finals but on Saturday then staying over and leaving for home after the game.
Forgot that I had tickets for Ian Mcculloch though and didn't want to miss that. (I can't be the only Echo and the Bunnymen fan here surely?)
So suggested early channel tunnel crossing Sunday a stay over that night and home Monday.
He agreed but baled cos his dad was taken seriously ill (got a text during Mr Mcculloch to that effect).
I decided to go anyway - may never do it again - so left home at 3.30am this morning (bloody freezing) and arrived in Abberville for my overnight stay in a beautiful 16th century house with a suite to myself around 6.40pm.
Sadly Bath managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory but a grest day all the same but a bit knackered now after a total of 7 hours riding.

Yep I know what you mean. I did test ride the LT in 2015 and whilst I loved the bike the colours in that year were just not right for me. When Triumph release the 2016 colours which included the black and white one, I was sold. I took a bit of a hit on my Trophy SE, but I'm so please I did the deal. I'm please you got a good deal on yours, you could always get a respray done?

    By the way
The aldi headset was used for this trip for the whole time I was riding and still has some charge in it.
The Leo Vince pipe sounded great in the Paris tunnels.
Home with 11965 miles on the clock - time for the big service!

    Bloody marvellous set up dilligaf!
Looks like a boxer twin engine in disguise on your rack.
Bike handling must be a little bit affected though ? Are you planning to drink a few of the 24 cans on route to reduce the weight ?
