It was in for it's recall work and it's first annual service (which cost £154.53)

Thing is..... they gave me a Tiger 800 as a courtesy bike and it has to be said..... this is the best bike I've ever ridden, I absolutely loved it. This could end up costing me money.... I don't think I want my Street Twin any longer :(

MOT time, passed so home for a thorough spring cleaning, acf50 and corrosion block, Polish, then have a brew and admire my handiwork. :)

2nd day on the borrowed 'old' Scrambler.
    58 HP, 68 Nm Torque?
Well, I don't miss anything! This bike runs fantastic. It's so agile and nimble; real fun to drive.
If I had one, it would take anyone a good amount of talking to make me sell it :)

They need to serve bigger brownies, far too much coffee left there.
If I was you I would go complain :D

Yep........that's exactly what's happened. Street Twin to be part ex'd against a new Tiger 800.

Very happy about it though :D

Ended up taking the RS and a Speed Triple R out today.
On the face of it, quite similar bikes, but to ride are very different.

The RS is very focused and changes direction before you can think about it, not much below about 8,000 but then it takes off like a scalded cat.
Got off it grinning like a loon.:D

Then took out the Speed, handles very well, just not with the same speed of turn as the RS and is a bit heftier to flick from side to side, but the motor is a lot torquier and more relaxed on the road.
Got off that grinning as well.:D

I was looking at the RS to buy, but it's all silly speeds and high revs before you're starting to grin, below that it's not that different to my old Street Triple.
I think, with the RS, my licence would be like one of those spinning plates on a pole, it's not a question of if it goes, it's just when it goes

My TS is more like a Swiss army knife, a multi purpose tool.
The Speed is like a kitchen knife, a bit more focused on certain things but can do them well.
The Street RS is a scalpel, great when you can use it properly, but it could get messy !

Got to say thanks to Bulldogs for letting me try them both out.
They even knocked a tenner off the MOT for the wife's Bonnie that I had taken in.
Interesting getting back on that after riding the other two !

I'm currently seeing what deal I can get on a Speed Triple S in black :)

Road out for an hour's bimble with Aleks before club night at Oakley. Lots of bikes there tonight including these noisy neighbour-annoyers.

Went to my dads yesterday after loomies, then in the evening entered route on my rider 410 from his place , gosport, to Tomcc meet west Horsley, put a few random waypoints in , it calculated a route, and I rode some great roads, some I knew and some i'd never been down before. Perfect evening and tempererature and very little traffic. Makes me feel better about biking again:p

Very close to Cocking - the less said about that the better! Probably going to Midhurst tomorrow and Whiteways Sunday morning.
