About 3 years ago, used to be a regular bikers meeting place or ride out venue, then they decided they were not welcome any more, and started turning them away and refusing to serve them, it was quite a story in the Bath Chronicle.

Well been really busy these last few days. Reviewed the Street Cup and a new Scrambler and sat on the Street Twin with my local dealer and then off to look at a Ducati Scrambler (ok bike but not a Triumph). Sat on the Thruxton and eventually decided that the riding position on the cup was likely to be just a little to far forward for me. So placed an order for a new Street Twin, due to pick it up first week in November. Really excited ............. Obviously pictures to follow.

Here is the Twin, just in case you have not seen it.... I've got a bunch of extras to go on the bike, but isn't the silver paint job cool or what?

Hi Wessa and congrats on your decision for the new bike. And yes, they do look great in silver with just a touch of red - really classy imo.

Sticking the tank protector pad back on after it fell off due to some prat using Evo-stick and/or some other adhesive that didn't work!
    Photo0205.jpg

    Photo0206.jpg
Amazed it never fell off before this!
Evo-stick just rolled off both tank & pad, but some other type of glue had crystallized, so rather than damage the tank paint I left that, it's no problem.
I used 3m double sided tape I got from our craft shop, about £7 but its a big roll, I used it back in January to stick the knee pads on and it sticks fine.
I doubt if I'll see any more fall off!

Today I fitted my new rear sprocket. A renthal 45 tooth (+2) effort. Not had time to try it out yet tho...:(

I think it looks quite good! The weight saving over standard is quite something for such a small item.

I've ran a black/white plate for a few years now and never had an issue over it. Slightly smaller than standard too, but I think it looks a lot better than the yellow...

Trip out to J&S Accessories to buy some new textile trousers and a stop off at Loomies on the way back.
You could do with one of these littleade - especially with your comedy German accent!

When i were a lad I knocked about with a bunch of other lads who had bikes. We used to go to the same places on Fridays and Saturdays but by Sunday we were a bit skint so we stayed local. Anyway, one sunny summers Sunday evening we all rode to a little country pub, went in, got a pint and sat down opposite the bar. Being a bit skint we made our pints last a bit and were debating where to ride to next as this place wasn't very appealing when the landlord leaned over the bar, wound his neck out and in a very unfriendly voice told us that we were no good to him sat there with empty glasses.
Needless to say minutes later we all walked out. It was a lovely warm summer evening (remember those ?) One of those days were you leave your windows open and if you have a pub, you leave your front door open.
Most of us rode suzuki/yamaha/kawasaki 2-strokes so we started them up, backed them up to the pub doorway and revved the bo-lacks out of them, filling the pub with 2 stroke smoke.

    Well done. ;)

It harks from my old trail-riding days, my navigation skills were legend - but not in a good way.

Few days on, but I decided that it would be good to have lunch with my daughter in London, thought it would be a nice run on the bike. On the whole, it was. Great to see Mo, good lunch, nice doughnut & a pint.
But 520+ miles is a long way for lunch & London traffic on a bike sucks balls!! Hats off to anyone that does that daily, & even more so to those that earn their living dispatching.
Bike was great. Gel seat was pretty good, delaying the numb cheek shuffle for a good while!

Nice, I want to try something similar on my Tiger Sport, but it's already 45t and the only larger size seems to be 46t.
    I wanted to try 47 or 48.
I could go down 1 on the front, but prefer to go larger on the rear as it's kinder to the chain.....

Hats (or is that helmet) off to you. That is an impressive mileage tally in just sixteen weeks. Not sure how the bike faired after that ordeal?

Good old inboard disk brakes, nearly as useful as hydraulic anti-dive forks....
