Ahem, thank you for that aid Ade - but I assure you that it won't be necessary. Apparently bike security chains in Northern France are as soft as cheese. I'll be on the look-out for an XrX then. ;););)

Actually I've heard there's a real nice blue one, just about brand new, near Winchester...........................................................................

Thursday was forecast to be sunny - so I arranged four work appointments, which means that I could ride around most of the day and get paid for it!

They don't know yet what's coming, Pete. But we'll see who has the last laugh - it inevitably won't be me, never is :(

Sunny again today - bugger! bugger! bugger! bugger! bugger! bugger! bugger! bugger!

You know you're not helping don't you :rolleyes:o_O

However, just got back from having a VERY nice lunch with Wend. There's a new Chinese place opened in Gueret. Mon to Sat lunch, 15€ for all you can eat and drink. VAST selection of food and drink.

Fingers crossed, it does seem to easy! Hopefully the colour matches, will find out after a few more base coats I'll offer it up. If it comes out ok I'll give the damaged seat cowl a go!

Been packing the Trophy ready for the big ride. I have to do over 600 kms tomorrow to get to Rostock. Weather here is still cold (around 5-6 degrees C) been pondering about using the car, but you guys wouldn't let me forget it. I keep telling myself not to wuss out.

Decided to unpack the bike. I wussed out. Gonna be warm and cosy in the car. I just couldn't face 7 hours in the cold . My Trophy doesn't have heated grips or seat.
    It'll still be fun though.

I guess it's down to a couple of factors, how warm the room is and how thick the layers. Generall a minimum of 45 mins but if you touch it and it's a little tacky is recommended, does it say anything on the product?
