Well, they pick up a lot of road crud where they are & it makes seeing how much pad you have left easier.......But mainly,I liked the look of carpy`s relocation bracket as it matches the rest of my bike.........Blinging :D:D:D:D:D:D:)

Triumph bike day at the ace is 12th june, if I'm not working I'll be there. Hopefully will get down there before to check thruccy's bike out, which has surpassed my meagre mods!

I know your going to find this hard to believe, but Ive only done all these mod`s this winter to stop me selling her & putting my deposit down on a 1200R. Ive never regretted selling any bike I`ve ever had (apart from my SR500) & I`d have to sell the thruccy to buy a 1200R & I know I`d regret it,BIG time, so, I`ve spent a bit....No, Ive spent a lot!!! so that I keep her til solvol is no longer available, which at the rate I`m buying & using it will be the end of July!!!!!

Ah the good old days of the SR500, despite mine having a new carb she used to show off in front of people, she`d refuse to start first kick whenever there was more than 3 people looking......& as usual, everyone`s a bloody expert when you least want their help! bit by bit, the clothing would come off til I was down to my t shirt & jeans & still trying to kick the damn thing over:rolleyes:
My best friend also had one & when we used to ride together they would resonate off each other. Pure unadulterated deafening bliss!!!

Yeah, great bikes, the pair of them.... we should start a poll for the worst bike members have ever owned.
As long as no one takes the P*ss outta my superdream. LOL;)

As you will know halfton if your Yammy`s on the road, part of the fun of owning a bike like this is the ebb & flow of the comments that you receive from others.
A really good friend of mine has an 82 one, they look like they could of come off the assembly line next to each other & last year we did a Japanese classic bike day @ the Ace. We parked them up & went & had a cup of tea, when we returned their were a few people gathered round. Not knowing that me & my mate owned them the comments started positive but there is always a few who usually know bugger all about a certain bike chirping in about how crap they were & that they were all a pile of sh*t. We stood there saying nothing but just nodding in the right place, suddenly my mate pretended to get upset about someone slagging off his pride & joy. The guy tried in vane to back pedal & next thing, he made his excuses & left, never to be seen again!!! For me, that`s the fun of owning a classic bike.
Yes, Superdreams did have a reputation of being called "wet dreams, but they were the bread & butter of hundreds of dispatch riders & I don`t think there are many left in this condition....& even more surprising is that in mint condition they can go for over £3000!!! not a misprint!!!
The guy I brought it from was gutted that it didnt go for more...& to be honest, I thought it would have gone for more too, but he never put a reserve on it & no one else put a bid in for her....Result:D

I bought a 250 superdream brand new, FGO 421T, 1st and last bike bought new! Hadn't passed my test hence only the 250, I think it was £750 from rye's Fulham. Horribly underpowered bike but I did 2 years dispatch riding on it and sold it to someone at £500 can't remember the mileage. Very comfy tho'

Unless this one's gone round the clock, it's either done 9 thousand or 109 thousand!.
I had one in 89 (emp204v) same colour as my one now & similar condition ......to start with anyway!
