Not quite today but on Saturday I changedmy rear brake pads, bled the rear brakes. Too my exhaust cans off to enable a re-seal of the pipes. All very easy jobs ands she sounds a little healthier too. Can't wait for a break in the weather to try the brake out!

I'd love my bike named like that - but I'm not very artistic so I don't know what would work best on "Kitten"



Just thought, maybe her name on that long, narrow silver section above the burnished gold fairing panels? Not that I'm proud of her or anything

 

That would be ideal Wayne. Did you put them on both sides of your bike or just one?

 

Been meaning to meet me mate for a ride round loomies , newlands corner etc. finally did it, predicted hole in the weather, meet up at Farnham and go from there. 5 mins from leaving home it's starts raining, doesn't stop so meet up and just go to the cafe at Alton, just got in, it closes at 3. Decided to knock it on the head and go home and wash her down before putting her away! He's a new Thruxton owner, wonderful taste !

 

Managed a quick blast yesterday in the glorious sunshine went via box hill and newlands corner didn't stop at either place as I didn't have time but did spot a few 1050 speed triples out

The weather gods promised a nice day so I thought a nice little trip up to Alston and Nenthead with a stop for a brew at the Hartside café would be a good day out, but, the b'starding weather gods have lied and creped on me with 0/0 visibility, damp, cold, drizzle and slick roads after 20 odd miles. Burger this for fun thought I, not worth risking mixing it with the four-wheeled fnukwits in poor vis so back home, bike in garage. Dried off and pistoff.

 

Beautiful day when I woke, so up and at em 50 miles in- to Aberdeen, timed it perfect to, James Bond. 10am showing would you believe -and it was busy. 17 quid for a coke, nachos, cheese ,and a movie, is anything cheap in this country.
Home, with the sun out all the way, washed, and put away, just heating last night chinese for supper. Yipee

 

Too damned right, my thoughts exactly

 

I remember pottering around them Aberdeen roads in my old Triumph (Herald 1200) back in the 70's when my ex's parents were still up there. Banchory, Ballater, Braemar and round back via Stonehaven, and t'other way up to Boat of Garten, Inverness and back on the coast road via Petairhheed. Ah! those afternoon teas. Beautiful neck of the woods. Def on my bucket list to take my bike up there and re-live it before the hips finally call it a day.

 

Two rides today, one short one this morning, rode about 5 miles and the fog got thick, goggles covered in condensation so decided to cut and run back home. Bit later and the fog lifted, sun came out and yippee, a good old shake down for the old girl,lol, and the bike. I had changed the angle of the handlebars before i went out and it feels I have far more control now, more upright position.
